In order to learn how to use a tool or appliance, do you prefer to break it up to its tiny little components (e.g. think opening up the wall clock to see what makes it tick) or do you prefer to get hands-on instruction by someone who already knows how to use it, not caring to know how it works?

It really depends on the situation. Usually if it's not an expensive item, I will try to figure it out. If it takes to long to get it running, will look for a customer support line.
Would consider yourself the black sheep of the family?

just told them to stop it, when they didnt I quit that job and found another one.
