It is actually a cruel trick played on us consumers by the companies that make irons. They want us to use that setting, hoping that it will result in a Forever Ironing that will Never Wrinkle Again. But this is not what happens. I believe this iron setting to be a major cause of discontent in the world today.

I believe this fear is simply confusion over why people say to "slow up", "slow down", and "speed up", but never "speed down". Speeding down makes a lot more sense if you ask me.

Lol..Im not kidding u. As a little bitty girl mom had to pry my fingers from chairs and picnic tables because when I looked at the sky as a kid I was afraid Id fall up. Lol...I never knew why. Just a childish fear. My brother had to sit me down at 6 years old and explain to me gravity wont let us fall up. Im serious ask my bro lol. It was a fear as A child I never knew why. Lol. Maybe popclick knows :) thats why I thought..why not ask lol

Sky, that is interesting. I'd hate to break form here and attempt a real answer :p, but it is a really interesting question. Did you have problems with your balance? Or the nerves/feeling/sensation in your feet or legs? Were you scared of other things about the air, like birds coming down from the sky and carrying you away? Did you fear heaven? Did the fear only occur when you were in a wide-open space outdoors?

Nobody has ever called me that. But I do get clickcorn and clicksicles all the time.

People (moms cough cough) will often claim that it is because you will "ruin your dinner". This is, of course, bogus. Since when has sugar ever ruined ANYTHING?
