Has anyone found ways to help arthritis.? I heard that fish oil helps.

I just read that Hudson Bay Tea does wonders, but it seems that only those people who live in Alaska near where the leaves of this plant lives can get it. It seems to be related to rhododendron. Would tea made from regular rhododendron be the same?

Does anyone else have any help for arthritis?

I just read of thunder god vine working wonders for both arthritis and cancer. Has anyone tried it?

Yes,fish oil helps and so does a vegetarian diet or at least cutting down on red meat and diary.Diet does make a big difference.

my mother & stepfather both had arhtritis & cut the red meat out of their diet;

after a week or so of that they both say the pain of it is almost disappeared. this has been several years going - they say whenever they start re-introducing red meat they get stiff & sore again to some degree, so they swear by the diet route.

i see someone else mentioned it already ^^ might want to try that. 1 oz of prevention to 1lb of cure, you know.

It depends what kind of arthritis you have. Do you have rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc... ? There are more than 100 types of arthritis and they are all treatable.

Most people, myself included, find that modern medicine and homeopathy work better together than apart from each other. And, certainly something like fish oil is good for all of them. But to make recommendations, it's helpful to know exactly what type of arthritis you're treating.

Nettle is good for relieving the pain of arthritis, but is not a permanent cure, however boron that removes the fluoride buildup in your bones may be worth you looking in to remember if you take boron you need to take calcium and magnesium to replace where the fluoride is being displaced.

Hi redtent, I was given the name of a realy good anti inflamitory that is all natural, but lost the paper I wrote it down on.
Ill see if I can get the name of again in the next few days from my dentist, his wife could not take any of the meds perscribed and was told about this, and it worked wonders for her.
Just say a prayer I can get the name again, as I wanted to try it myself.
Now if I could just find a natural treatment for lousy memory! :):):)

Hugs and God bless

Hi RedTent, you would already know that the more alkaline the body the better it function's. So a lot of raw foods, salads are great to get the ph balance down, meat makes it go through the roof.
Also
year's ago I got an alkaline pwder from my homeopath, there might be someone near you who can get this, and also spiralina helps a lot, available at the chemist.

Hope this helps

I read that if a person could choose only one herb to take, the write said it would be turmeric. It is good for a multitude of ailments as well as able to kill cancer cells, and is an anti-inflamatory.

It's awesome how you want to know what to put in tea to help because where I live there is a tree called the Russian Olive, I don't know if you have them, but if you do, if you put the white powder in your tea, it will help arthritis I heard. That's common in Iran. I'd be careful though, better if you got a better understanding on it and not just take my word.

Eat red grapes in the morning and red grapes in the evening. They have resveratrol and boron in them. It gives the same benefits as red wine without the down side (drunkenness). Grapes are delicious and really work for me. There are also other benefits from them.

I think that celery has anti inflammatory properties

celery juice, celery seed.

Look into "Mega Red"....I don't know much about this one

(NaturalNews) Anyone experiencing the pain of an acute gout or rheumatoid arthritis attack would sell their soul to get fast relief from the agony. Most drugs take time to build up in the system before relief occurs; and, many of those same drugs cause unacceptable side effects. What if you could make a drink, that in the matter of just a few minutes, would help the pain subside to tolerable levels or relieve it entirely? Sounds too good to be true? Well, it's not.

The underlying cause of arthritis, gout and fibromyalgia is an imbalance in the system causing acidosis, which is the basis of most physical disease. In simple terms, this means your pH is out of balance and your body is trying to get back into balance in any way it can. Even in autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, imbalance is at the root of its cause. The body's attempt to regain stasis is what causes arthritis, high uric acid, muscle spasms and a host of other problems. The solution is to help the body's pH return to normal by consuming alkalizing foods.

Here are three potent home remedies that can help relieve inflammatory arthritis and rheumatism pains, gout attacks and debilitating fibromyalgia episodes in a very short time. No one remedy works for everyone; so it's important to use them all, one at a time, and find what works best in each circumstance.

[h=1]Baking soda[/h]Baking soda mixed in water can relieve gout joint pain almost instantly and reduce high uric acid. In some cases it may take up to two days to experience relief; however, if taken regularly, it will prevent attacks before they occur. Mix 1/2 teaspoon baking soda in 8 oz. of water and drink it all at once. The maximum recommended dose is 4 teaspoons divided up throughout the day during an acute attack. Then reduce the dose as the pain subsides. Baking soda can raise the blood pressure. Persons taking medication for hypertension should consult a health practitioner before using baking soda in this manner.

[h=1]Apple cider vinegar[/h]Anecdotal evidence and clinical reports indicate that apple cider vinegar relieves joint pain, acid stomach, headaches, gout, muscle spasms and arthritis. ACV acts to help create an alkaline-forming state in the body by stimulating digestive juices, including bicarbonate, that's released by the pancreas. This highly alkaline substance neutralizes the acidic vinegar and stomach acids, helping to balance the pH. Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of vinegar with 8 oz. of water and drink all at once. Some people prefer to sip on it; however, it seems to be more effective when consumed at one time. If it's too strong use less vinegar and work up to a full dose. Apple cider vinegar is known to be especially helpful in relieving acute gout attacks. Always use organic vinegar with the mother intact.

[h=1]Lemon juice and baking soda[/h]Another alkalizing drink that works miracles for some people is a lemon juice and baking soda cocktail. Mixing the highly acidic lemon juice with the highly alkaline baking soda creates a perfectly balanced pH that matches the body's natural healthy pH, which helps to restore balance almost instantaneously. Pour the juice of one lemon - about 2 oz. - into a tall glass. Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and allow it to fizz and bubble until it is completely flat -- about two minutes. It can also be stirred. Add 8 oz. of water and drink immediately. It should taste like flat water.

i heard eliminating nightshades from your diet helps: tomatoes, potatoes, bell peppers, etc.

I have kind of a stupid question: How does one know if you have arthritis? It's not obvious to me, but i "might" have it. My wrists, elbows, and knees pop all the time and my lower back makes a rippling popping sound when i twist it. But the popping (especially in the back) repeats. It doesn't stop like when you crack your knuckles...it keeps popping.

I know this can't be normal, but it's not extremely painful either, just uncomfortable. I heard arthritis is really painful and what I have is not super-painful. Is there some kind of test to find out if you actually have it or not? Because i'm suspicious that i actually do have it.

Do they swell like crazy on certain days. I knew that I had arthritis right off, mostly because of how my body reacted to the arthritis AND because it can be hereditary. Both sides of my family have the more common arthritis and on my father's side rheumatoid arthritis. It was later confirmed that I do indeed have arthritis when I had x-rays of my elbow taken.

I have used spirulina and have a formula I made up with spirulina, wheat grass, COQ10, D Ribose, Folic Acid,Lipoic Acid, and Microhydrin. I add Stevia to sweeten. Now the Microhydrin has been controversial but University studies have proven it to bind Lactic Acid. I believe that alot of muscle problems etc, is from bound up Lactic Acid. Not to get too complex, it is part of the acid/base balance which affects pH. Another important thing is Magnesium and Probiotics. Some pain can be from food intolerances and the build up of yeast in the gut. Yeast buds and can multiply as the result of the destruction of good bacteria. I had fibromyalgia and when I started looking for answers, I started with the cell. If inflammation is present for whatever reason, then nutrients cannot get in and wastes cannot get out. The cell membrane is semi-permeable to allow for this but yeast has a cell wall. So when the yeast dies and cell wall bursts, toxins pour out and we can get a reaction. The reaction is caused by things that are not normal just like high fructose corn syrup is not normal. I understand that it all has mercury as a byproduct of manufacturing. Many do not know if they have lead in their tissues, it displaces calcium. Get the metals out would be a start.

Can you find out whether you have arthritis without having to go to a doctor? X-rays are so expensive. In 2007, I spent $200 for an x-ray and they wanted to do more treatments that involved injecting me with black dye, but I chose not to do that. I spent enough money already, and I don't think the extra tests would have helped. The doctor at the hand surgery place was a jerk, and he was not helpful at all.
