How long is Jesus gonna stay up in the clouds then? The era of the trumpets lasts atleast 3,5 years so.
Good question. I can see why you might think this. Which Scripture do you use to support your view that the "era of the trumpets lasts at least 3.5 years."? We know that Jesus does not appear in the clouds for this entire period because Rev 7:9, "After these things (after the rapture, the sixth seal is opened, and the sealing of the 144,000 is complete) the scene changes where John sees a multitude of Gentile in heaven at the throne room with Jesus, whom John was told by the angel that these are those who came out of the great tribulation.

So Jesus shows up, resurrection occurs and then returns to heaven and comes back again a bit later? I dunno man. Hard sell. I think its just one second coming which includes the resurrection

IWell an argument could be made for any stance on it but I personally don't have any particular stance on it though not a post tribber I think either a pre trib or pre wrath is more liekly. yet still I am willing to learn could you post the scriptures you mentioned I would like to get a btter understanding of how you came to your conclusion
Hi Blain, thank you for your question. But my answer is from studying ALL the scriptures on this topic for over 20 years by some pretty amazing teachers, including one of the top Bible Scholars here in San Diego. You can pick and chose Scriptures to support your view; but you really need to search out ALL the Scriptures on this topic to determine the truth, which clearly points to a pre-wrath rapture. I believe that many Believers are pre-trib because they are taught primarily by Pastors who were taught this in seminary. That the opening of the 1st seal in Rev 6:1-2 which begins the 7-year tribulation period, is the beginning of God's wrath, but it is not. And because Jesus promises His children that we are saved from His wrath to come, they are taught that we are taken out before this begins. However, Jesus explains to His disciples in Matthew 24:37 what it will be like prior to His coming to rescue (rapture) us. I will put together an order of events supported by all the Scripture on this topic when I have the time to write this up for you. Please feel free to challenge me on any of these points. Bless you for your desire to keep searching for the Truth!

eoe 20 years of studying the topic that is impressive I have no need to challenge you as I believe you could very well be right I mean I believe what I believe from studying sure but I have also had countless rapture dreams one not so long ago either and he has put on my heart that the king is coming as well as a friend of mone heard him audibly say he is coming and well the evidence keeps stacking up so I can be stubborn and keep my view or take the hint

I was thinking a prewrath or mid trib was most likely the case but letely have been questioning my understanding of it. which is not something everyone does some will defend their understanding with their lives but we can never learn or grow with that type of thinking I want the truth not my truth just the truth

Understand. It is good that you keep seeking, indicates that the Holy Spirit is working on you. It will take me some time to prepare a response to include all the Scriptures that support the pre-wrath view. I started on it and hope to get it to you in a few days.

The Second Coming of Christ (His appearance) coincides with the 7th trumpet. The events of the 3.5 years occur before that point in time.

Jesus should be "in the air" at least during the 'Wrath of God' [event] (a fairly short period of time) before descending to earth.

And I hope to join Jesus in the air and avoid the TRIB.

No one can avoid the trib if they are alive when it begins. Many will die during it, and some will make it until the end and be changed and then raptured.

Hi IXOYE81. I would disagree with your strictly sequential interpretation of Rev. 6:12-7:17. I am post-trib, by the way.

At the 5th seal, God told the martyrs to wait a little longer for vengeance until the last martyr was killed (Rev. 6:11). I think you would agree that the last of their fellow servants to be killed should be the two witnesses at the end of the 42 months or other people that are killed even after that time. So vengeance will not come until after the 42 months. What is shown in Rev. 6:12-17 is a preview of that day of vengeance, but it will not come yet. What is delaying it? The sealing of the 144,000. God waits for 144,000 from the 12 tribes of Israel to believe in Jesus and to be sealed with the Holy Spirit (which I think has taken centuries). Rev. 7:3 says do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees. This call for not harming the earth must precede the stars falling to earth and the movement of mountains and islands in Rev. 6:13-14. I've always understood the rapture as Rev. 7:9 even when I was pre-trib. Now I still think it is a preview of the rapture in Rev. 19:1, where the great multitude praises God for His salvation. I think inclusion of Rev. 7:9-17 is to show that both Jews and Gentiles will be saved (they do shout "salvation" in Rev. 7:10). While God is waiting for the Israelites to be saved, multitudes from every nation are also being saved.
