It seems to me those who speak against the ten commandnents keep pushing the envolope. You all haven't gone so far as to say to come on gang, lets all sin. Thank the Lord for that. Bibles are still being published that tell of the fruits of the spirit, and include the 119th psalm, or is this pushing the envelope, and next will be posts against these things?Then why do you keep pushing the envelope regarding same? It seems you do the things you say you do not want to do.

when you see the ten commands, you should see judgment because you have failed to live up to Gods standard, they should bring you to tears, because you have failed, they should bring you to repentance because you have no hope. They should bring you to Christ where you can find salvation.

sadly, like the jews you do not see them the way God gave them, you see them as a means to spiritual maturity or Godly living so in effect you fail to see them as what they are, tablets written in stone which are given as the minister of death, as Moses said, cursed is the one who does not confirm and obey every word.

You could start with being logical. Saying it is impossible to keep the 613 is the truth. You seem quite adverse to it.
Many of the 613 require a Temple and sacrificial system to perform and are impossible today.

You have a very unhealthy obsession with the Law, and not much talk of Jesus, Him being the fulfillment of the Law, and His Gospel of Salvation.
Virtually every post and thread from you is in some fashion tied to Law and Law keeping.
I don’t think Jesus is going to say “Well done pushing the Law, instead of Me”.

I love the law, it guides me to the ways Christ works in me, and I am scolded over and over for loving it and saying so. They post that it is self righteous to try to obey it. They post that it means I am working on my own without Christ if I try to obey it. Over and over I am told of scripture they say tells me not to love the law. In order to not love the law, how can I do that, following the advise of these posters, and what? Try to be disobedient? You can either choose to follow the law or choose not to, you can choose the ways of Christ or choose the ways Christ spoke against. What choice am I advised to make? Certainly the advise is not advising me to love the law.False allegations. I guess that's all you got at this point.
I am 96. I have gone to a specialist to test my mental capacity because I see so many older people with dementia and that specialist tested me to see if it was true of me. I am so thankful, so lucky, I tested OK.
And you are joining those who say I am pushing the law in error. Do you want me to push disobedience to the law? If we have Christ within us, if saying to follow Christ (as I do) is wrong and I should push going against Christ within? If Christ is within us, then we love and follow commandments, yet when I say so, I am scolded, scoffed at, ridiculed. Often I am accused of being without Christ because of it, as you are insinuating. Why?
The 119th Psalm pushes the law. Do you scold God for giving us this psalm, also? I am scolded over and over and over for what this psalm tells us.

No one is pushing disobedience to the law. So the comment you asking if you should teach disobedience is irrevelant
Although I truly wish you'd talk more about Jesus, and the fact that He fulfilled the Law, I think you deserve the dignity and respect your long life has earned.

As a human being, Jesus met the righteous requirements of the Law, satisfying it completely. Consequently, believers in Christ are no longer under the Law. We follow Christ and are let by the Spirit. When we sin, we confess our sins and He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. We are not under the law.
Acts 13:38-39
Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the Law of Moses.
Romans 3:19-24

I think that about answers the question about whether or not believers are under the law.
As previously stated, if you fail at anything, adultery, lying, coveting, envy, sexual immorality, etc., etc., then confess it and He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. As we continue from faith to faith, believers are being sanctified by the Holy Spirit, which is the process of being made holy. As we go along we are being transformed into His image, taking on the characteristics of Christ, which are the fruits of the Spirit.
As you saw above, no one will be made right with God by observing the Law. Jesus came to fulfill it because we were unable to because of our sinful natures. By submitting ourselves to the Law, when we fail at it, it brings wrath. Jesus now stands as the fulfillment of the Law. When we believed, we were credited with the righteousness of Christ, which includes the fulfillment of the Law. Jesus also experienced God's wrath on behalf of every believer, satisfying it completely, so that it no longer rests upon those who believe and which is why we are not appointed to suffer God's coming wrath.

In my post, my intent is that Jesus is the head of life, that we accept Him in our hearts and all we do is through Him. They are still read as self rightousness, as someone acting apart from the Lord. I truly do not know how my intent can be made clearer as I post, always with listening prayer, but I will try harder.

But how could it be possible to live through Christ when to love Him is to keep His commandments if we have no commandments from Christ to follow?
I don't think we understand that Christ fulfilled the law in the same way. I understand scripture to tell us that the law condemns us, explaining the sin that causes our death, and Christ saves us from that sin. Because scripture is speaking not only of the earthly ways of the Lord, but the spiritual at the same time, it means that Christ fulfilled all the prophcies spoken of Him.
What do you think it means when we are told Christ fulilled the law?
Well for one, I guarantee you that both you and I and everyone who is ready this, are breaking and will continue to break the law. And if we are trying to keep the law, then it brings wrath. Remember, if you put yourself under the Law, you are bound to keep the entire law. When you break it in one place, you've broken the whole law which leads to condemnation.
Jesus fulfilled the Law completely, meeting its righteous requirements. We can't do any better than that. In God's eyes the Law has been satisfied for everyone who believes.
Hebrews 7:18-19
The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.
Hebrews 8:13
By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.
II Corinthians 3:6
He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant -- not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2 Timothy 1:9
He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.
Don't be like the Galatians of whom Paul wrote:
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
Are you so foolish? After starting in the Spirit, are you now finishing in the flesh? Have you suffered so much for nothing, if it really was for nothing? Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the law, or because you hear and believe?
Christ freed us from the Law. Follow Christ and you will not break the law. And when and if you do, then confess it and repent. We are not under the Law.
The ones required to be kept PERFECTLY in order to get to heaven.
I'm thankful Jesus perfectly kept all the righteousness required by the law in my place.
All law seen as a way of earning God's favor or meriting eternal life is absolutely abolished. Salvation is by grace, not works. But grace results in faith in Christ, which is faith in who he is, all he taught, and all he did for our salvation. Therefore, the moral law which is rooted in His nature stands. To deliberately discard what we know to be right in God's eyes is to reject Jesus. To reject Jesus is to forfeit eternal life. So the commandments and instructions which He gives, rooted in His own nature, cannot be disobeyed without consequence.
