I didn’t know people weren’t obsessed with race until I left the US. Currently in Vietnam just doing my thing and I have a water baptism to perform coming up soon. No one even cares about race here outside of mere curiosity. Nor are there endless debates, divisions, strife, etc. people are just people. Quite refreshing.
Maybe someday I'll move there.
Here (USA) people either cling to their race because there is some government kickback, or despise other races because they get a government kickback or perceived social advantage.
Just don't ever, ever, EVER move to the middle east. You think the USA is racist... Wuff! Everybody hates everybody over there.
I meant Jesus would be white according to the US census definition of white, just to put an example. It happens sometimes that I don't pick the right words because English is not my mother language.

I was the one person who said how ignorant are the Westerners who think MENA people are another race, the one person who said people in 6 MENA countries look like Europeans, and the one person who said there are light people even in Yemen!
I did share my viewpoint, but you just didn't read it carefully. My intent was to view other perspectives.
Read the whole post man, don't stop where it says Jesus.
Maybe it's just me, but I see a greater difference between sand & beige than between ivory & beige.I found this skin tones chart on the Internet. I would say the face I saw looked like sand or beige.
That’s a difficult question to answer using words because there is some overlap between racial features. Most ethnic Jewish people I’ve known had dark brown or black hair, beige/sandy-colored skin, and the bridge of their nose is long. Depending on the amount of sun they had, their skin could even look porcelain or ivory. The face I saw was tan.
My honest view is that they could be considered white.
Many European peoples are actually of Middle Eastern origin.
Now I understand why some say that the Bible Discussion Forum is full of brawls and toxicity.
So many people think they can discern everything a book written 2000 years ago intends to say, when they can't even understand analogies from a 21st century person!
Hi @LittleCedar what are you trying to find out or discuss? That people from Middle East are not black? Or something else?

It starts at 8:20 mark. Please note that if you skip past that, Kent Hovind spends some time exposing the false beliefs of the Mormons. I will add that variations on this theme are also held by some other pseudo christian sects / cults. Then he continues back on a Biblical teaching again. One thing I have strong disagreement with is his recommendation of Bill Coopers book. I doubt if he knew that Bill Cooper was a wicked false teacher that nobody should listen to or read. Other than that he does a decent job of teaching about origins and skin shade variations.

I went back and read the OP again, for... like... the fourth time, just to see if I could figure it out. I still don't really know what you're driving at with this thread. Five pages in, I still can't tell.

I will point out I did not say you definitely are pushing for a separate classification. I said I get the strong impression you are.
But who knows? At first we all got the impression you were discussing Jesus' race. This thing has gone five pages and we're still not sure what you're trying to say here.

You could also explain the reasons for your belief if you want. I'm sure there are some people reading this who think otherwise, that would like to see your arguments.
‘This is mainly a region specific thing. People in the Mediterranean region don’t think of themselves as black and people in Middle East don’t think of themselves as black.

Also, you haven't given us your perspective yet, @seoulsearch. I know you are here with us, and I feel particularly curious about your view on this. Maybe you could give us an interesting point to analyze.
