Proverbs 30:6 says, "add thou not unto His wordlist He reprove thee & thou be found a liar". Mormons believe in salvation by obedience, they think you can reach a godhead status, don't believe in original sin that God the Father has a physical body. too many differences & there are more so i don't believe they are Christians. you can't make up your own rules & laws & be called Christian.
(not addressed to you just replying to this post in an open/to all sense)

A Christian is a follower of Christ. All denominations have incorrect, non-biblical teachings so if we go by those, almost no one is a Christian.

We cannot judge very well because we are terrible judges and are usually hypocrites. Mormons have some weird beliefs, but I leave it up to God who is and isn't a Christian.

Mormons and JW and Jews don’t believe in Jesus as Messiah… Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants do,, the rest is noise.

I don't have a "stance", I have a position based in scripture, I don't believe Mormonism lines up with scripture, as well as the added Book of Mormon, we are guided to not add or take away from the scripture He has provided, the Holy Bible.
best wishes
That being said, I have an oral surgeon, an instructor at a local dental college, Holy Spirit always manifests just as He does when I come in contact with him at the college, and it reminds me how God judges the heart and is drawing His Own out of all kindreds and tongues at this time.
Blessings

It’s one of the largest cults in the U.S.. It’s so large that they basically own a state, Utah. if you really want a good understanding, I recommend watching the South Park episode ‘The Book of Mormon’ and it will explain everything.

Thank you, would rather have His understanding.
We don't want to presume we know better than He who His are.

My entire family besides maybe me practice Mormonism (LDS: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints). But they also consider themselves to be Christian. But there are a lot of discrepancies in their belief that don't seem to align with Jesus's teachings.

I basically wrote this to get biblically sound doctrine from anyone that knows about this group. Either for it or against it (trying not to be biased). But I personally dont believe that it is true Christianity. I left this "religion" when I was 18 years old.

What is your stance on this?
Answering the subject field, no.

Meanwhile He is calling His Own from all kindreds and tongues, just as He said He would, in this time.
No matter what we think His rules should be as we look at the exterior.
