There is a variety of angels, yes. You don't have to rely on the writings of the heretics either to learn about them as the canon of the Bible is sufficient to explain. When studying angels be very careful to stick to the canon, many of the heresies and false religions on this side of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection are based upon erroneous beliefs about the angels.
For the studious Christian though, a good book about some of the varieties of the angels is the book of Ezekiel, especially the first chapter when the prophet Ezekiel is first called by Lord God Most High:

Can men ride on sunflowers? Can you put your trust in a sunflower? It does turn it’s face to the sun. A point possibly for you to consider? Meaning.....ask Holy Spirit.
With anything like this I believe with the advanced technology and discoveries we have had since 1611 to further critique Biblical manuscripts including to the point I just do not see Apocrypha as legitimate or verifiable.
All I can say is I hold to the 66 books as inspired. Anything else should compliment the scriptures. If any other source adds or takes away then I believe God commands in scripture to resist it.
Well compare to the book of Daniel chapter 10.
Daniel 10:5-6
5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
Yes I believe so, Jesus walked on water why would I think that wouldn’t be possible
Yes, this is the messenger sent to Daniel to give him the visions of sorrows about the history of man (from Daniel's point in time, the future) and the end, and to also comfort and strengthen him because the Lord God loved Daniel.

I know, without checking any references, that he studied at Moody Bible College, was a star student under Bruce Metzger (the premier Bible linguist of the late 20th century), was a promising apologist upon completion of his doctorate, and because of his own doubts, turned away from the Church. Now he's a professor in New Testament Studies at an Eastern college, and his lectures are the cause of many Christian students not only questioning their faith, but rejecting it. His books are used by atheists to support their position.

That is Lord Jesus in his glorious resurrected form in that passage, he is the Alpha and Omega, praise Jesus for eternity.

Well Lord Jesus had not been resurrected to his form of glory at the time of Daniel. Also just a kind of fun detail is beryl is dark green.

Well Jesus is now in his fullness of glory after the resurrection. Jesus being a sort of forerunner to the fullness of the glory of the forms which the righteous will inherit at the day of the resurrection at the end. This is the great mystery of Paul largely expounded upon in 1 Corinthians 15.
