Once upon a time before I had ventured out west. I was born and resided there. Numerous of my aunt's, uncles, and cousins live there. As well as two of my brothers and a sister. So I visit there when I can.

However, myself was and my kin are over on the east side along the mighty Missasip and Joachim creek. Over there we call the state Mizzourah......LOL They call it that down there in the Ozarks?

One thing I enjoy when I get back there nowhere have I been this world over do they fry up some catfish, with hush puppies, and slaw like there. Always enjoy that when I get back that way. Hope ya enjoy it there I made and have many good memories of Mizzourah as well as some good friends and family to make memories with when I am back that way. Hope ya find it enjoyable.

Had a trip there this past spring. It was a blast.
Botanical gardens, The Hill, and the Transportation Museum were my favorites. And I couldn't get enough of the food. Ate like a pig non-stop.
(St Louis is the sausage/salami capital of America)

As someone who is itinerant at heart I'm stuck in TN. It's a pleasant prison but....I still have that trapped feeling.

However....I get furloughs from time to time. A work-release program.

lol. Anytime a person says they are going to St. Louis, you get a funny stare. it is the murder capital of the country, there is like 15 offshoots from the bloods and Krips there, you have to stay out of one specific area. i was too alarmed to leave Chesterfield (suburb) and had plenty of fun shopping, dining out and exploring. There is a statue at the amphitheater in Chesterfield, I love, called the Awakening, check it out if you ever get there again.

hmmmmm never heard anyone say it that way. Maybe I am not far enough into the Ozarks.

Why are there not many people in Missouri...? Cant handle the snow? Dont you just hibernate for half the year? Isnt that one of the compensations of having snow?

I think I wouldnt mind that. It never snows where I am.

The Hill section is the Italian area.
For some reason the thugs stay out of that area. I'm thinking it has something to do with the Gentlemen of Italian descent who are more organized than our government feels comfortable with....but the food there is awesome. And that's all I'm after when I'm there.

Maybe you're thinking of a different state. Montana, perhaps? Missouri has neither a lot of snow nor a problem maintaining population.

It's been decades since I was there last....I was like 13 at the time and we were just driving through.

But another road trip doesn't sound bad at all.

100 degrees sounds boiling hot in centigrade!

Im a just wondering the more crowded and hot an area is, maybe the more rude people are.
I dont know. People often say that country people are a lot more friendly than city people. But then city people get stressed a lot.

I mean you would too if you living with millions of other people you may not know from a bar of soap who are breathing the same heavy, stale air that doesnt get replenished with photosynthesising plants would you?

But then I thought about some mean hicks Ive met in the country who are racist and would shoot anyone who dares set foot on their many hectare property, so maybe its a different kind of rude.
