I watch her morning show on TBN. She has many outreaches around the world. All her children are in ministries and she makes us laugh. She's been through many hurdles and survived them all. I had a sm group leader who thought Joyce was bad, I left that group and joined another one. So yes I like her🤩👍

TabinRivCA , thanks ! I watch her shows in the evening. She's about my only experience of listening to a preacher . I can listen to her because of what she's been through
its also entertaining that she's a woman doing that against the odds
she's got me feeling a bit less sorry for myself !

Her ministry was very kind to me. After my wife died, I was smacked around by an inner storm. I needed to let it all out, and I unloaded in a letter to her ministry. With no charge or request for a donation, I received a short letter trying to encourage me, and several items (books, and I think a CD) designed to help me cope.

I think she's great, I had a Bible college professor tell us, eat the chicken and spit out the bones...

Yes. She's practical as well as sound doctrinally.

She's been around for decades. She has matured a lot in that time. Some people remember her earlier days when she had less spiritual knowledge. She gets more done in a week than many do in a year.

Short answer, no. There are so many reasons to mark and avoid her but one of the most obvious reasons is the fact she gives her support to TBN, one of the most heretical purveyors of false teaching out there. This alone disqualifies her.

Yes. Joyce Meyer is a false teacher.

'20When the disciples saw this, they marveled and asked, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” 21“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”…

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mk 11:24

Don't be hard on yourself. People forget that they were once in the same place. As a baby can't function in the world and needs a long period of care and training, so does every new babe in Christ.
I still remember reading the word of God with a friend shortly after coming to faith. We would read a couple of verses and pause and ask each other what it meant. Neither of us had any clue.
Don't forget how you feel at each stage in your walk with God. You can use it later to encourage others.
And don't worry...understanding will come.
