Old habits die hard. I caught myself calling the bathroom at work "the head" a few weeks ago.
you're post reminded me of a lady who worked at a kidney dialysis facility in Saratoga N.Y. i know about this story because my then girlfriend worked there also for years she spent much time in the bathroom acting out her laziness she was large & lazy how she got away with that is unknown, especially in a medical building there was a rumor that she was serving a certain man in a higher up position well, finally, the establishment was sold & the new owners quickly fired her
The YMCA there is a really nice facility. I wish I could transplant Saratoga into a different state and then live there.
that's a dream for many. we're not there a lot in winter but in summer, just about every week. in fact, i do not prefer winter at all, we stay local, in the Adirondacks.
The thing is, it's really an important conversation to have- Elon shouldn't be censoring people. The question is- "do we need all these foreign techies? and if so, why?" and "We don't have enough good Americans" is not a sufficient answer. Vaguely threatening people with China isn't going to work either.
What is even coming out of silicon valley these days that people actually want? I don't need a phone app that will track the gas volume and pressure of my farts. What specifically does America get for bringing these people in? That is what people want to know.
I'm with you here. If i was in his position i would want to make some sort of program like Roosevelt did with the New Deal to have ALL American citizens involved and paid well while learning new skills in every corner of the market here at home.
But we will see how this develops and if Musk if gonna be able to stay 4 years, get fired, or change his rhetoric.
I don't think it will be... and the worst part about it is, that if even if you're looking at it from the perspective of support for American workers- you're going to get lumped in with the ethnonationalists because they're the most vocal about this stuff.
Looks like Musk had a 'sit-down' with Trump and others because a day after he is changing his rhetoric.

A well functioning society needs 68 percent of mediocrity amongst the population. Otherwise society wouldn’t exist. So please hail mediocrity. It’s mandatory for our survival.
I think those are a lot of stereotypes about Americans. In my family for example I have a lot of doctors, police, teachers in it. That's a lot of school and work. Most of my family is skinny as well. A lot of the people around us are similar.
As a society communism is an atheist society and doomed because of it. Although it's impressive how unified the people are, even as children it doesn't allow for individualism. It can't bc it's really a type of slavery. You work to work. You don't work to enjoy.
Thee unified family though is biblical and why people in China do really well. So some aspects include blessings. Verses America where the family unit is not valued and it creates disorder and chaos. In my family for example we went from being extremely poor 2 generations ago. But in my family divorce is extremely rare, and literally no men leave their kids in my family. In fact the opposite, the men have adopted kids even.
In America we are founded on biblical principles. However the current globalism agenda is atheist by nature. It's actually demonic even. Eating bugs..."All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you." Population control. Bill gates even created a machine that turns human feces into water. There are some seriously evil people in that group and unfortunately they have a lot of money. There are literally no reasons we would need to do any of this. It's simply a way of dehumanizing us.
In education there is a globalist agenda. Evolution is a big part of this. So is the lgbtq+ which are both essentially cults. You can't believe in evolution without faith... there's literally no evidence of animals becoming a different kind or humans coming from animals. Come on.. animals are nothing like people. Animals may use sounds, but we use language. Language is spiritual, as we are spiritual beings. Actually every year we're losing thousands of animals... we're certainly not gaining any new ones. It's laughable even. Unfortunately this is being taught. The switching from BC to BCE.... kids don't understand time.
So you have kids with no dads, moms doing drugs or not there working, and learning a globalist agenda. So this is why education in America is so low. They are being raised in front of screens with no books. They are being given food that is basically poison (In communist countries they actually care about their food they give people). They might be christian but I doubt they're learning the Bible.
The Bible never says not to work more or to be lazy. It's actually the opposite. In the old testament most of the prophets were very rich! But in America I think people are questioning more what they are doing. Why am I slaving away in a mill in America for someone else? Even my retired dad worked in a mill and now has his own music business. I think being an entrepreneur is completely biblical as well.
I think ultimately it comes down to parents not pushing for excellence, but yet there many reasons why including dads not being present, parents not being involved with homework, allowing too much screen time, etc. There needs to be more tiger parents, and less elephant parents.
It does not appear to be too popular so far. The issue is not many Americans are in/studying IT fields. I remember sometime ago a colleague told me that everyone is her computer science course (at the Masters' level) were mostly Indian or other Asian, so she doesn't feel she is stealing any jobs. Education in the West has been taken over by neo Marxist "progressives". Kids are not taught logic and reason, so they are inclined to go by feelings instead. This gives rise to absurdities like gender fluidity. In Australia, some kids "identify" as cats. Now they should be sent off to the funny farm, but no, parents are told to provide litter trays. I thought that was an early April fool's day prank. I wish. It is for real.
America has the advantage of being seriously rich. Many of their best and brightest are foreign born. I spent a week or so in America for my work. I was amazed at the number of seminar speakers who were from the UK or India. This has been going on since WW2. Elon Musk (like him or not) is South African by birth.
America is being dumbed down and spiritually corrupted. God's blessing will lift off sooner or later. the signs are already there.
Success is measured by how well one is meeting goals. But I do not see any of these goals mentioned in the Bible.
My goals are much different, so my efforts may look like failure to somebody who thinks these goals are important.
Pushing for excellence? Sounds way too stressful. That's how you get high blood pressure and die early.
I believe it has more to do with government policy.. Dumbing down the education system to produce a population that is easier to lie too, manipulate and therefore to control..
