So people who drink alcohol including Christians are as you say

The rebels would rather argue about what sin is instead of staying away from it.

Are the reason Jesus is coming back soon?

Respectfully, it sounds like you are against the eating and drinking part, and who ignores the excessive bit that Jesus is warning against?

This is not what Scripture teaches!

There a lots of stuff that the bible warns about that has nothing to do with eating or drinking, but hey let’s ignore that shall we?

Has anyone who knows someone who drink excessively just tells them to stop as it’s a sin, yet doesn’t ask why?

I did struggle with alcohol but nobody asked me why.
I also had a gambling addiction.
If they had then I would have told them that I was thrown out and rejected by my mum at 14, was fostered and then sexually abused.

Was sexually abused by cousin from 6-8 years.

I was told Bible says just stop it.

But hey let the Pharisees on here have their day, they will do before Jesus.

So called Christian’s shooting the wounded believers.

YOU WILL BE TOLD BY JESUS “I Never knew you”

Yes, sorry about your upbringing. Nobody is telling anybody to eat and drink. By all means stop, if you prefer.

This thread, I assume, is about what Scripture tells all of us what to do not just a few who have exceptional problems. Each should know his own vessel.

I’m just stating what Scripture states, what God says. By saying someone is sinning for drinking the very thing that God Himself has blessed us with for 1000’s of years is oxymoronic. This would be sin, because you’re adding to His word!

Ok thanks for responding.

Can you now see that your above that you sent to me is not what I said based in the few responses above?

I assumed you were referring to those who believe in Scripture that we can drink. (?)

My apology, if I misunderstood you?!

Sorry don't get the bolded above.

No need to be sorry.
God healed me of it eventually. Took so many years.

He worked good in it, in order to conform me to the image of Jesus.
Now I help and walk with others who have been through it.
