“Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine afterDo you have evidence that the "wine" at the wedding was alcoholic, rather than the "wine" of non alcoholic grape juice?
Alcohol is allowed in the Bible
I can give you one, and only one is needed:What is your first, best and primary text that you presently base that ideology upon?
And quite obviously it would have been "new wine" -- unfermented. The first miracle Jesus performed was turning water into wine at the wedding at Cana.
Because Jesus, while He was performing this miracle, could not have aged it at the same time? And quite obviously it would have been "new wine" -- unfermented.
Hops is a flavouring agent; the fermented material for beer is grain, and "rotten" is somewhat misleading. Further, vodka, whiskey, and gin are distilled, not merely fermented.alcohol is present in OLD wine
new wine doesnt have alcohol...its pretty much grape juice and anyone can drink it.
alcohol is fermented sugars...basically its turned rotten. It can be grapes,(wine) potoates, (vodka) wheat and grains (whiskey) juniper, (gin) apples (cider) Rice (sake) hops(beer)
Exactly. And why would he age it since He condemns strong drink?Because Jesus, while He was performing this miracle, could not have aged it at the same time?![]()
Tell us about this alleged "preservation" method. While I agree that "new wine" can later gas off, it does not do so immediately, and does not do so readily when in preservation, which the people of God had.
Some people can do fine with alcohol, many don’t. Scripture does not prohibit alcohol, it’s against drunkenness.
Good point but it also applies to regular grape juice. The first serve is always the nicest and once everyone has drunk a lot of the nicest wine (juice), they don't care about the wine at the end.“Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after
the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
Having "too much to drink" rather plainly suggests alcohol content.
Drinking grape juice would not so impair the senses, that the guests
would not be able to tell which was the better of the two beverages![]()

no that doesnt make senseNew wine is always fermented. That's why it's a wine not a juice. All you need is yeast and grape juice and alcohol is instantly being created as the yeast consumes sugars. It's enough alcohol is a few days to get intoxicated a little, new wine. The longer it sits, the more alcohol yeast will make. It consumes sugars and the byproduct is alcohol which the human body treats as if it is sugar so it's just sugar in a different form.
