No judgmental pressures from others, family or otherwise. Actually, tattoo is wildly popular, enjoyed & common in the desert (California & Arizona). It was the nerve to mentally prepare for the pain. She did actually ask my cousin to go with her, also.

So as regards 'tattoo is wildly popular, enjoyed & common in the desert', does this mean that you are likewise completely comfortable with the general idea in theory, and that at an individual level it's only about deciding what s/he wants and having the nerve to go through with it?
It's true anyway that a lot of Christians, instead of fighting the medium, have instead embraced it and even used it for faith based designs in many cases.

Many Christians choose a faith based design, because they are good conversation-starters in personal witness, but you must know your preference.

My friends older brother will do mine at the shop he works at.
And no my mother is not to be there with me. My tattoo is for my faith in God and she doesn't understand that so I wouldn't ask her to come along.
My tattoo will be a wooden cross with a old looking bible opened up where it will say my fave bible verse. Its going to have a broken/cracked road leading up to the bible with two sets of foot prints on it.

Sounds like the design you've chosen can likely be an effective conversation-starter. Did you figure the Scripture reference yet? and placement?

Sounds like it would be for visible witness use sometimes in the summer, though not winter. You must know what placement works best for you, anyway.

Well I have bones that break like twigs do to a disease I was born with. So because of that the vibration in the ink gun it would most likely break one of my bones if I got it on my ribs, back, arm, leg, foot but my thigh is thick enough that it shouldn't hurt my bone in any way.

Sounds like you will have talked it over with your doc. about the best place for it. Sorry about your health problems.
Keep praying; Paul to the Thessalonians (1st Epistle chapter 5) and to the Philippians (chapter 4) encourages continual prayerful activity in a joyful and thankful context; and I'm sure, for you, praying for your mom is one of your high priorities.

I have 3 ! and they over 30 rs old and they're not needed. they will loose their luster after a year then you will say why did I do that? A tattoo is a desire of the flesh. and being a Christian we leave those behind us.
What if the motive for a faith based design is testimony? can we really see each other's hearts and say that it cannot be a for a testimony?
Sounds like joining the ranks of the tattooed is something that you have been planning for a very long time. Great that you have chosen a Bible theme for a faith based design.
