I don't know where else to go to meet people. Restaurants have a lot of people who go to them. I usually find someone to talk to. I have never met anyone at church.l have been to a lot of churches.
How about small groups? Or other activities that bring multiple Christians together that makes them interact with one another?

Well you're out there trying. That's something. A lot of people sit around complaining about not finding someone, but at least you're trying to do something about it.

really?
By restaurant do you mean 'bar' cos at most restaurants you cant actually do that.
You need to book a table or eat by yourself as most patrons at restaurants dont like it if some random person sits at their table and starts ordering.

hmm I didnt know people were this socially challenged.

In the olden days you just called the matchmaker.

You can't disparage people for not being successful at something until you are successful at it yourself.

I mean obviously you CAN, because you are, but it doesn't have any validity until you are successful at it yourself. In this case, until you find a husband, or until you are not socially challenged yourself.

l cannot understand why God doesn't just send or lead you to the man you are suppose to be with.
He can, and He does.
We just have to be willing to wait on Him and His timing , instead of trying to force something ourselves.

The original post is more than 10 years old. The OP has probably gotten married, had a bunch of kids and put the first few into high school by now.

Is there anywhere, esp local churches, that need volunteers? Also, see if there are any local Christian zoom groups around your area. When your mind is on serving God/volunteering, that's when a lot of miracles can take place. I know of many couples where this was the case, God bless you with that Godsend soon🙏✨🙌

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for singles on how to meet more peope/find your mate.

I am 26, single, faithful to God. I have a good job, I am in a good place mentally, I attend a good church. I work I go to sporting events I hang out in coffee shops, but I just feel like everywhere I look everyone my age is taken.

Any advice?

Please don't say just wait because I've been waiting for years, I'm ready to take action.

48 and single. Honestly, I have not read the comments, but has anyone suggested being matched for a blind date by a trusted Christian friend?

Your choice must be based on wisdom under God & nothing else. Being hasty is a feat of foolishness. See if you can hang out with your guy friends with ladies present. There must be some Chrtistian friends you can socialize with. In the mean time, practice what you will say & how a Christian lady should act on a date. Millions of Christians went thru what you are going thru. I am one of them. God told me he was going to send me a girlfriend within 4 years. 4 years is 208 weeks. He delivered on the 205th week. Look at the long time I waited. I'll pray for you.

Not a bad idea. Nothing I've tried has worked, that's for sure.

At this point in life I’m actually happy to be single. I enjoy the freedom of doing what I want, when I want. Like several times I’ve said “I’ve always wanted to go to_____” and so I’d hop on a plane and go. Only continent I haven’t been to now is Antarctica.

I'll tell you, the only time I ever thought I needed that kind of freedom was when I was living at home. With a good spouse, anything still goes.

Show me a spouse that would be 100% fine with the husband/father of the family jetting off to another country last-minute and I’ll show you a marriage that’s on its last thread.
