You could mend this by getting him one to replace it - not just some generic Bible, but something meaningful that he'll remember. He'll love you twice as much as he did before, not because of the Bible, but that you did it from the heart.

BTW there is nothing in creation that is truly inanimate. Jesus said upon entering Jerusalem on the donkey that if He silenced his people then even the rocks would cry out. Paul said all creation groans. There is life in every single atom that God created.

I'm an adult and i don't treat childen like crap all the time. I have a niece ty very much. I always treat her with respect. Also you just have to remember adults treat you the way you treat them. Like if you smart off to them thinking ur funny..then ya thell treat you like crap. But if you respect they will respect you. God bless you

yes I accept that not all adults are like I said but what I do not get is why people say that I need to treat people how I want to be treated. I act the way I do around certain people because of the way the treat me so maybe instead of blaming me they could look at themselves and change as well. im not the only one at fault here. you know I get sick of being nice to people who do not care about me. I only want to spend my time on people who care about me because theyre the ones who deserve to have kindness and love in their lives. and frankly I do not feel like being nice to someone who isn't nice. I don't care if this makes me antisocial or a bad person or whatever. people needa stop expecting the world to change for them - it aint gonna. they need to change themselves to make things better.
Ah the old chicken and the egg which came first dilemma. Who treated who wrong first... does it really matter? Perhaps the questions should be, who's going to break the cycle first? Jesus was kind to everyone, even those who mistreated Him. Imagine how sick of that He became, and yet He still did it. Even on the cross - "forgive them they know not what they do". When you can forgive even those who work to kill you - imagine what riches you will store up in heaven for that.

Levi, based on your other threads which say that food, adults, school and this world all suck, it's easy to see that you have a lousy attitude towards yourself and others. Ask God to help you transform your attitude into a more positive one. Then you'll see that not everything sucks as badly as you think it does.

Yes Levi...i concur with Lady Bug. Your attitude is a choice. Make good neural ruts in your brain with choices that are positive when you are young....and the older version of you will thank you.
Well for some reason they don't want to learn anything else in life other than what they feel comfortable with. They become selective in their learning and don't feed there minds with everything they need to know about Then slowly slowly they become regarded in their thinking, and new information becomes fearful to them so they reject it. So this is why they don't listen and why they don't understand.

Were on the same wavelength, I'm 20 and don't consider myself to be an "adult". You may not like it, but the way they behave is the way of this world. Try not to let them get you down though, because one of the reasons they act that is because they see so many people do the same, leading them to think that the majority of society has the best answer for everything, but that isn't true. People use ignorance to cover a lack of knowledge or understanding, some do anyway. If such is the case the best thing you can do is pray for them, pray that they receive guidance from God, and have some compassion for them. It's funny really, when you think about it adults are really no different from children.
You're right, about all of it. Adults do suck and they don't listen to you and they think this will all just pass. Look, that's not fair to you and I am so sorry you are going through this. I'm not going to tell you to turn to Jesus or that it will all be ok right now but I will tell you that it will be ok one day. So even if you don't have any hope right now, you do have hope for a future.
go to Your Mental Health social network if you have the time. It is a WONDERFUL website that has helped me a lot. CC is also a wonderful website so continue to seek support here and read your Bible and know that it is ok to feel how you feel. I went through the same thing you did and things eventually did get better. When you do get older and people take you seriously (because they will) be an advocate for kids because they really don't have a voice unfortunately.
You are strong, you can do this.

Age is just a number; adulthood should be measured by more than that. I can think of some that are several years older than myself that I believe have more "growing up" to do.
