Note Paul's words on the topic:

1 Cor 9:27-10:5
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Israel and the body of Christ are not the same nor does God treat us the same. There is a lesson Paul is teaching. We will not get away from committing such sin. We're not cast out of the body of Christ for we've got something better than OT Israel.

6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

And yet, no evidence to prove your statement above. Fit your theology based upon scripture and not a denomination. We must rightly divide the word of truth.

One of many verses. We are not saved in his death; that is the first step, ie, reconciliation. We are saved in his life, which we have to walk in

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved in his life. Romans 5:10

Obviously for judgment of believers' works, but if people who say they are believers, but don't do the will of God, are not resurrected in the 1st resurection, then that judgment seat is not for them.

Yes, at the judgment seat of Christ the believer's works will be judged for rewards, never for salvation. Some might have their works burned, but will be saved. They will receive no rewards.

Yes, his life, his resurrection. That's the power of God demonstrated. Christ's resurrection completed the work for our salvation. We don't believe that he just died for sins, but was resurrected.

The first step in salvation is to have sins forgiven and washed away in Chrst's death. No man is saved by just that.
Just that? So, Christ's death, burial and resurrection is IN-sufficient to save? It's not enough?

We are saved by believing into his life, which means following him and doing what he says.
So, we are merely "initially" saved by grace through faith, not works (Ephesians 2:8,9) then after that we maintain our salvation by works? By following Him and doing what He says "after" we have been saved through faith demonstrates that we truly are His disciples. You seem to confuse believing in Him for salvation (faith) with believing in what you do for Him for salvation. (works)

Belief is proven by works. If people say they are believers, but don't do the will of God, then they believed in vain.

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 1:16

Why did you twist what I said into this?
You said:

No twisting on my part. You "added" works to salvation through faith by "adding" doing what He says "after" salvation as the basis or means by which we receive salvation. By doing what he says "after" salvation we are accomplishing good works. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

But as was stated in a previous post, those who believe in vain, ie, profess that they know God but disobey his voice, are reprobates who deny him through their works and are rejected.

Look what I did for you Lord! Thank you for initially saving me, but wow, what a life I lived to keep it! Good for me!

As a believer, should I go on to good works? Absolutely! But not out of necessity or because I have to, but because I get to in light of what Christ has done for me. But it doesn't come automatically throughout one's life. The believer needs to be discipled in the word of God to find out the kind of life that pleases the Lord. Constant prayer, hearing the preaching of the word, singing praise unto the Lord is all part of it. But for some, they might not have these resources available.

I agree with this completely

Let me add that I strive to do what is right out of necessity, not to earn anything, but to live and abide in him.

LOL, except when it comes to getting rid of our sins.

Acts 2:38, 22:16

You like pointing your fingers but can't see yourself.

Satan's plan keep them out of the water!!

“…a viper of the [Gnostic] Cainite heresy, lately conversant in this quarter, has carried away a great number with her most venomous doctrine, making it her first aim to destroy baptism…”

So many people would never argue about xyz in everday situations, scenarios or examples like they do with God’s word, which shows they take man’s word more seriously.

Thank you for sharing

Yea man, it for sure didn't start yesterday.

I bet Satan started attacking it with his followers the minutes after Peter message in Acts 2:38.

All puffed you are, you must be proud of your self.

I seen you post all of the problems with the catholic church and now sharing the problems that JESUS has.

You do know JESUS is the word, and HE is the one responsible for ALL of it including Acts 2:38.

Your title should read JESUS word v's Lightbearer3.

Of course I'm not debating with you.

Just one question wise one, what's the difference between the Catholics who don't follow HIS word and you?

If Evangelical don't follow HIS word and the so called "oneness" does who's wrong?

You’re confusing disagreement with Christ’s Word for disagreement with your interpretation of it.
No one here denies Acts 2:38 — the issue is what it means, not whether it’s inspired.
Jesus is indeed the Word (John 1:1), and His Word also says:

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life.” — John 3:36 KJV
“By grace are ye saved through faith… not of works.” — Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV

Acts 2:38 harmonizes with those truths when read in context: repentance and baptism are responses of faith, not replacements for it.
Obedience follows grace — it never earns it.

Grace and peace — always in His Word.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Same Apostle below

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Repent/Repent and be baptized/converted for the remission of sins/that your sins may be blotted out, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost/times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Begotten/born again...through the resurrection of Jesus (I Pet.1:3)

Same Apostle below

baptism now saves you...through the resurrection of Jesus (I Pet.3:21)

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (Jn. 3:3)

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (Jn. 3:5)

One does not enter into the kingdom/body of Christ before they repent and are baptized (Acts 2:38, 41, 47; Jn. 3:5; 1 Cor. 12:13). It is only after one obeys the gospel that they are then added to the body.

I have done my part. The word of God speaks for itself (Heb. 4:12), and honest seekers will see the truth of this subject (Lk. 8:15; Acts 17:11).

Time for me to move on.
