I am going to repeat my point.

Love/ agape love is always product or fruit of the Holy spirit.

witnessing or doing evangelism, some time product or fruit of the Holy spirit, some time fruit or product preserve the income.

Some evangelist doing that for fame or pay roll. Not Love.

Bearing fruit - means in the context of bringing people into the kingdom:

A similar idea is presented with the sower parable:

(Mat 13:3 KJV) And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

(Mat 13:4 KJV) And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

(Mat 13:8 KJV) But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

If the fruit mean bring people to the kingdom,

then if one believe in Jesus a second before he die, he go to hell. He doesn't have time to bring people to the kingdom

Bear fruit mean bring people to the kingdom.

not bring people to the kingdom mean not bear fruit
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

From verse 2 and 6 we can conclude, if branch not bear fruit will cast into the fire/hell.

So if the fruit mean bring people to the kingdom, than if a man accept the Lord a second before he die, he will cast into fire/hell, because he not bear fruit yet( if fruit = bring people to the Kingdom)

[h=3]Galatians 5:22-23[/h]King James Version (KJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

John 15:1-5
[SUP]1[/SUP]I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

How is it done? How do we abide in Christ? What is this fruit that the Lord Jesus is talking about?

Do you think the fruit is the fruit of the Spirit described in Galatians 5 or some other fruit?

Further in that passage Christ explains how we abide in him...

John 15:1-10
15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

He also explains the fruit (i.e. result) of abiding in him..

John 15:1-10
15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

10
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

In Christ's metaphor, he is the Vine, we are the branches, and the PROOF we are connected to him (and are his disciples) is the "fruit". So what is the proof of abiding in Christ? That we can ask the Father for what we will, and it shall be done so that He is Glorified. Such is the "fruit"; such is the proof of truly abiding in Christ.

Note that Christ says nothing about the Father saying "no" or "wait". If we truly abide in Christ and his words truly abide in us, what we want will line up with what God wants (i.e. his spirit in us)...so whatever we'd ask for wouldn't be outside of His will anyway, meaning he'd *always* grant it.

Otherwise, if he hasn't granted our requests; if we do not bear this fruit/proof, we have to question whether we're truly abiding in Christ.

Remember the fig tree that Christ cursed. It was in full bloom - healthy, vibrant - but it didn't have any fruit...so Christ cursed it and it withered. A tree that grows larger and larger with branch after branch, blooming in full display, means little to the Gardener if it doesn't bear fruit like he expects.

Likewise, adding new member after new member to the tree of Christianity means little to the Gardener if those members are not following Christ's commandments and do not have his word living in them, the proof of which is whether their requests - when asked - are carried out by God.

Christ says such is a branch that will be thrown away...

John 15:2
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away...

The original word in Greek is karpos meaning everything done in true partnership with Christ. Sometimes scripture talks of the fruits of the spirit, sometimes the fruits of righteousness. In the gospels it often speaks of fruits as the good we do through acting on the principles of God. Man should not limit what scripture speaks of, it includes spreading the gospel but it is much, much more.

I am agree with the definition of fruit as a partnership with the Lord.
But it is require love to be partner with the Lord.

Yes It can be spreading the gospel.

Spreading the gospel without love is not a kapos/partnership with Christ, Spreading the gospel for money is not a partnership with Jesus.

righteousness is also base of Love to the Lord and other. Doing right, for example helping the needy, can be because of love can be something else. Helping the needy without love is not partnership with the Lord.

Now is election day in Indonesia. one of the presidential candidate donate food to 1200 orphan. Help the needy is the right thing to do but is he righteous person?

He was a General and fired because attempting to make coup detat. He has a paper plant with about 3000 worker, The news paper said he doesn't pay his worker for 5 months. He has private cooper. big house in 9 acre land, 130 horse but didn't pay his worker.

He help the needy because he wont to be elect, not because love.

Only doing something with real love is partnership with the Lord.

As Christians, we are not asked to watch our neighbors to judge if what they do is of the Lord or not, for scripture tells us God does that for us, God will repay. We are only asked to watch ourselves, and to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are told that we need to be guided with spirit and truth, not only by the letter of the law.

Yes God doesn't want us to judge but what is the definition of Judge?

Not to judge but we commanded to prove all thing whether it is good/origin from the Lord or not.

We not punish them but eat least know if it is wrong and warn. Like John the Baptize warn Herod of his sin.

How he able to warn if hoe not watch him and know that what he is doing is wrong.

It doesn't mean judge, judge involve punishment.

It is warning.

I Thessalonian 5

[SUP]21[/SUP] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
[SUP]22[/SUP] Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Galatians 5:14-18
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Walk in the Spirit. How? By abiding in Christ. When we abide in Christ He fulfills the Law, in and through us, by growing the fruit of the Spirit in us.

John 15:4 I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

What fruit?

Galatians 5:22-23
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Isn't it amazing how it says if we walk in the Spirit we aren't under law and there are no laws against the fruit of the Spirit? So how do we start walking in the Spirit and not be under the condemnation of the law anymore?

Matthew 11:28-30
[SUP] [/SUP]
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The only way to walk in the Spirit and not be under the law anymore is by faith in Christ. By coming to the Lord Jesus Christ and abiding there. The same way you recieved salvation is the same way you walk in the spirit. By faith.

The fruit is the fruit of the spirit in Gal 5: 22, And if you look at the fruit of the spirit, You will see that it's the nature of God.
The fruit that Jesus is talking about in Jn 15, Is, "Producing the character of God", Being Christ-like.

Notice, there are four degrees of fruit bearing,
[1]No fruit, V2.
[2]Fruit, v2.
[3]More fruit, v2.
[4]Much fruit, V5. & v8.

One can either be just like Jesus, or not like Him at all.
We should aim to be just like Jesus.

Galatians 5:22-23
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

Matt 22

[SUP]36[/SUP]Master, which is the great commandment in the law?[SUP]37[/SUP] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[SUP]38[/SUP] This is the first and great commandment.
[SUP]39[/SUP] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[SUP]40[/SUP] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

All commandments hang on Love.

For example do not Kill. If we love our child why kill.

do not jealous If we love our son and he success why we jealous.

do not steal. etc is hang on these two law like Jesus said.
so the fruit of the Holy spirit is Love then love will be the base to follow
the Law.

...........so let us go on down to verse 16.............

16) Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

......just don't see how this "fruit" we are to "bring forth" applies to the "fruits of the Spirit" that we are GIVEN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.........we DON'T bring them forth............they are a GIFT.....

........well, in my opinion anyway........

:)

The Holy Spirit brings forth fruit as we place our faith in the work of Christ and not our own. In fact the works that we do are the fruit.

Fruit itself applies to something that is being grown or the inevitable conclusion, or outcome of something.

Fruit doesn't happen right away, like a gift does. Fruit is what happens after something is allowed to grow and mature.

Just sayin...

I really like what you have brought forth... I haven't quite seen it this way before.

Those Christ died for have always abided in Christ, even when they were unbelievers they abided in Christ by their Election in Him ! Eph 1:4

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

That word in is the prep en and means:

en (a preposition) – properly, in (inside, within); (figuratively) "in the realm (sphere) of," as in the condition (state) in which something operates from the inside (within).

They were always in the sphere of Christ by Election !

The place or environment within which a person or thing exists; The Elect always existed in Christ, just like in the beginning they existed in Adam !

How can a person keep GODs commandments unless GOD first builds the house?

I mean, if someone post john 15:10 and then highlight it:i wonder what they are saying?

psalms 127:1

king james version (kjv)

1.) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain
.....................................................................................................................................................................................................

I think they are saying that John 15:10 goes with Romans 12:1-2.

John15:10

king james version(kjv)

[SUP]10.)[/SUP]If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Romans 12:1-2

king james version(kjv)

[SUP]1.)[/SUP] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
[SUP]

2.)
[/SUP]
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
