All beards are deserving of appreciation by the masses! And bearded men are especially deserving of beard appreciation by their girlfriend/finance/spouse no matter the length, color, shape! Beards ftw! 🧔

When I was young, I was into Grizzly Adams. He had a beard and he lived with critters. The dream life!

Now, for me personally, this is the fiery length. The perfect beard...
Here is one for the beard appreciation thread.
Gave myself a haircut this evening.

Hi! An interesting poll, I have had curiosity about beard popularity too. Even though I'm a girl, beards can be part of a guy's character or visual charm.

Being a Christian though, I do want to share some casual Christian perspectives.
God loves a good beard, He made them. God also made men and women to enjoy various levels of attraction toward one another, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and God likes it when we demonstrate love to our spouses which can be in the form of how we present ourselves (a beard or shave can be a delightful gift for some girls). God is also pleased when we take care of our hygiene as it goes along with taking care of our bodies, which could include men taking care of their facial hair.

Women can be picky though....
Some women like beards as they love the masculinity.
Some like the feel of interacting with their man's facial hair too.
There's a pretty good amount of women who like the appearance of a well groomed man, whether it be a clean shave or any length that is kept tidy, and doesn't look unruly.
Some women favor a clean shave as it can often have men look more youthful or reveal a handsome face.
Some women don't like men with facial hair as it can be annoying to kiss or tickle (depending on it's texture).

Many women don't have a preference and it's other characteristics that they are more attracted to, regardless of facial hair. (such as personality, laughter, physique, hairstyles, etc.)

As a single girl, I personally find myself more attracted to a clean shave, probably because I grew up around traditional men and grandparents, and back in my school days my crushes didn't have facial hair. I would be inclined to say my personal preferences have been influenced by my surroundings. Currently, I'm unique in that I like guys who have a clean shave with hairstyles that might have been popular in the early 2000s era. Mustaches are a bit different though, with or without influences, they tend to be a visual turn-off.
However, I have a sister who is neutral about the attractiveness of facial hair, she's simply in love with her husband and it's wonderful. (but she has made a few annoyed comments about his hairs going up her nose, lol).

I wonder what results a poll on this topic will have, at least in this small community. :)

er, well my dad and brothers shave, so I guess I'm used to clean shaven, so beards are a bit foreign to me. But they look good on certain kinds of men (Vikings?) so, nothing rules them out. As for future husbands, if they are able to care for their own beards, I'm ok, because Lord knows I am not doing it for them.

My hubby's back hairs go up my nose when I spoon him ! 🤪

I am curious of what females prefer regarding beard, so I decided to make a poll to get some statistics. :giggle:

Hi Engbloom!

What an awesome poll idea! Thank you so much for posting it! :D

I regret to say though that I couldn't answer the poll , simply because I couldn't choose just one answer.

I used to prefer clean shaven. In high school I had a boyfriend who would purposely grow out his scruff, then drag it across my face just to hear me holler at him! It was all in good fun, but I preferred clean-shaven.

However, as time went by, I grew to understand that men look good in different styles of facial hair just like women look good in various haircuts. I've heard most men say they like long hair on women, but for some women, short hair might be their own preference (or necessity, such as having an illness that has affected their hair.) I feel the same way about facial hair on men.

I've met some men who experimented with different facial hair styles -- and some just look better with it, no contest. But that's just my own opinion.

My only major concern is hygiene. If a guy looks like he's carrying a week's worth of backup snacks in his beard, if it looks like the birds might mistake it for a ready-made nest, or if it looks like it might be holding termites or lice, then I'll just have to pass.

You ever see a hairless cat?

That's even MORE reason why I shouldn't vote.

I really, really miss the  emoji.

Of course there are boneless, skinless, er, I mean (sorry, I'm so used to the term "boneless, skinless chicken" that out of habit I apply it to other animals, too.)

Let's try again.

Of course there are hairless cats:

And this one looks like he could be your balding younger brother.

I actually added an "I am a man and just want to vote"-option to the poll.
Too bad I removed it before I submitted the poll.

The even funnier thing is that when this thread was first posted, it flashed across my screen and my little bird brain read it as, "A question for females WITHOUT beards."

I was thinking, "Well ok, I qualify for THIS round, but what I'm REALLY curious about is the hopefully posted follow-up thread, "A question for women WITH beards." :p:cool::geek:

I kinda always wondered what it would be like to be the bearded lady and travel around with the circus. Something about the thought of this sounded fun and adventurous
