Dear friends,

I'm reaching out again to ask for your prayers. My father's condition has worsened, and he's still not improving. He's been very unwell for over a week now, struggling to breathe, with no appetite, and very weak. He fell from his bed the other day, and it's been a difficult time for our family.

I'm asking for your prayers for:

- His healing: That God would touch him with His healing power, restoring his strength, appetite, and breathing.
- Comfort and peace: That God would comfort him and ease his discomfort and anxieties, bringing him peace and strength.
- Support for our family: That we would find strength and hope during this difficult time, and that God would guide us through this.

Thank you for your prayers and support. Your love and prayers mean so much to us.

With love,
Jane Chai

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, amen.

All-good Master of all creation, who gives and ends life of people according to Thy most wise will; every breath of every living thing is in Thy power. Deign to hear the prayer of Jane for her sick father, if it will be for their good and if it is Thy holy will. Help her family to endure all sorrows and illnesses with good spirit, thanking Thee for everything. Grant health to the sick man, if the prolongation of his life will be for their benefit and salvation. Thou hast heard the humble lamentation of Thy sick servant, the pious King Hezekiah, having granted him an additional 15 years of life. Look also upon the family of Jane, who are in need of Thee and Thy mercy. Protect them and us from premature death, illness and misfortune, heal the sick among us, forgive all sins of those who confess and grant us Thy peace; that we may live in peace and prosperity and be deemed worthy of a blessed end; and may it be given to Mr Chai and us to give a good answer to Thee, Jesus Christ, at Thy Judgment, and in Thy Kingdom to rest with all the saints, that we may glorify, thank and honor Thee, Father and Son and Holy Spirit, now and in the endless day in Thy eternal Kingdom of Heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Jane, if your father is at home, you might want to look into getting a O2 concentrator. I can honestly say this saved my dad's life during Covid where had Covid Pneumonia. Once is O2 was up, he had more energy to eat, sleep better and regain his strength and eventually recover. Yes, they are expensive but worth it.

Order Philips Respironics SimplyGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator

Thank you too, Jane. I read with amazement your letters of gratitude to me and other people and I highly appreciate your habit of thanking. Not many of us are so altruistically thankful. Most of us are consumers who take all good things for granted. May the Lord reward you for your virtuousness and bless your father with a peaceful remaining time of his life.

Dear Daniel,

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm truly touched by your appreciation for my efforts to express gratitude. It's something I try to make a conscious effort to do, and it's wonderful to know that it resonates with others.

You're right, it's easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and forget to be thankful for the simple things. I believe that taking the time to express gratitude can make a world of difference in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

Thank you Jane,
Your situation hit home today as our neighbor came knocking on the door in dire need of help. She was having some psychological episode. Her husband is now the caregiver of his aging mom, his special needs daughter, and his wife who has sadly been depressed for the last few years after her mom and dad passed away.

The husband was already driving an hour away to take the mom to a doctor's appointment but he had to turn around. So we sat with his wife to comfort her and try to keep her calm until he got home.

It's sad to see her decline and in pain due to she now falls every so often and her arm is in a cast. Anyways it is just a hard reminder of how difficult the middle-aged season can be due to aging parents.

But your father is blessed to have a family like yours because so many elderly are abused as families fight over money or the caretaker's heart is not in the best interest. My grandmother is currently praying to die because my aunt treats her so poorly while my grandmother can no longer legally make decisions for herself.

I say that to bring perspective. You may feel like you are not providing the best care at times, but having a caring heart with the right intent, with the effort to provide, and trying to give the most comfort and peace for him makes your family effort a sight of joy to God.

Dear Rough Soul,

Thank you so much for sharing your story and for your kind words. It's truly heartbreaking to hear about your neighbor's situation and the challenges they are facing. It's a powerful reminder of how difficult life can be, especially when dealing with aging parents and the added stress of caring for loved ones with special needs.

I can only imagine the weight your neighbor's husband is carrying, and I admire his dedication to his family. It's also incredibly sad to hear about your grandmother's situation. It's a painful reminder that not all families are able to provide the love and care that their elderly members deserve.

Your words about my father are incredibly touching. It means a lot to know that you see the love and care we try to provide for him. We do our best to make his life as comfortable and fulfilling as possible, and it's heartwarming to know that our efforts are appreciated.

Thank you again for your kind words and for sharing your story. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of family and the need to support one another through difficult times.

Warmly,

Jane
