I'm just thinking of how funny it would be to brag to your family, "I got 1st place in the Wiener Herding Contest!"
And I'm imagining that some further explanation just might be needed.

I saw the video for it in my fb news feed recently. The Wiener 500! I wasn't looking for it and probably wouldn't have paid it much attention except your words came to mind, "Wiener Herding Contest" and that made it hilarious
Also, that wiener song is going to be stuck in my head now...

Just imagine telling your mom, "Mutter, Ich bin ein Wiener!!!"
("Mother, I am a Wiener!") My apologies to all our German-speaking friends out there.
