This is not accurate information. God alone decides and distributes the Holy Spirit in whatever fashion He deems appropriate. The office of Apostle and the Spiritual Gifts are still operating and will continue to be necessary for equipping Christian's in ministry until Jesus returns. (Eph 4:10-16) We know this is so because Jesus is still calling individuals who are required to wait on the Holy Spirit before going forth into their personal God-given ministry. (Luke 24:49) And, none will attain the stature of the fullness of Christ until His return. The problem is, only the Apostles distributed the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and gifts, besides the two outpourings. And the gifts ended with them in the first century.
The 120 were a different time and place. Read carefully.wrong you assume there were only 12 present

"But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power ... but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." Luke 24:49
And he gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ
Luke 24:49

Usage of prayer language tongues are only understood by God. The Spiritual gift of tongues is what requires interpretation for the church body's edification. One of the main reasons you cannot believe Parham is because the original gift of tongues was nothing like his experiments. They understood what they were saying but others did not unless they interpreted. Nobody knows what they are saying when they try to speak in tongues today. And their interpretations differ when tested.
Scripture does not endorse this. It is classic Pentecostalism.Usage of prayer language tongues are only understood by God. The Spiritual gift of tongues is what requires interpretation for the church body's edification.
I have the Acts account does not say they were not there that is assumed. The word of God says there were 120 in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. what happen on that day is recorded in chapter two. They have spent many days together prior to the coming of the Holy Spirit empowerment. And If your post was correct then Joel 2 which Peter touted would not have been fulfilled because there would have been no women. The 120 were a different time and place. Read carefully.
You have the wrong group at the wrong time and place.I have the Acts account does not say they were not there that is assumed. Faith in how one can expect to receive the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues is definitely found/heard in the Word:You need to show another way the Baptism came, besides an Apostle's hands or through the two outpourings. Until you can do this, you have no basis for faith in what you say. Faith comes from hearing the Word.
I did showed you two Paul had an Disciple lay hands on him and Cornelius did not even have hands laid on hIM and if that is not enough 1cor 12 states the give are Distributed to all as The Holy Spirit see to be. Not man. IF you were right Peter would not have even went to the gentiles. 1cor 12:11You need to show another way the Baptism came, besides an Apostle's hands or through the two outpourings. Until you can do this, you have no basis for faith in what you say. Faith comes from hearing the Word.
Faith does not exist apart from scripture. So unless you have scripture, you have sinful flesh faith only.Faith in how one can expect to receive the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues is definitely found/heard in the Word:
The Word states that God provides 2 or 3 examples from which concepts are established. This is how someone can know if what they are receiving is from God or not. The biblical record shows 2 examples where the Holy Ghost fell spontaneously and 2 times through the laying on of hands. These verses prove that when people receive the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues it will either occur spontaneously or through the laying on of hands. If was never done in any other way.
Keep in mind that a counterfeit requires something authentic.Edward's book names names and denominations. If not true they can sue him. Several different resources say the same.
The gifts are part of being an Apostle. Paul received the gifts when Jesus made him an apostle. Ananias ministered to him but had no authority to administer the gifts.I did showed you two Paul had an Disciple lay hands on him and Cornelius did not even have hands laid on hIM and if that is not enough 1cor 12 states the give are Distributed to all as The Holy Spirit see to be. Not man. IF you were right Peter would not have even went to the gentiles. 1cor 12:11
"But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills."
You my what to read my comment again. The entire comment to your post documented corresponding scripture. You need scripture to prove this.
Prove Edwards wrong from history.Keep in mind that a counterfeit requires something authentic.
Point it out.You my what to read my comment again. The entire comment to your post documented corresponding scripture.
LOL just rip out the part were it states he laid hands on PaulThe gifts are part of being an Apostle. Paul received the gifts when Jesus made him an apostle. Ananias ministered to him but had no authority to administer the gifts.
The Holy Spirit administered the gifts only through an apostle's hand's or in the two outpourings.
Apostle Paul's words specifically contradict your opinion.Scripture does not endorse this. It is classic Pentecostalism.
