(I Cor 11:23-27) 23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. You do know it's impossible to keep ALL the commandments, right? I don't take communion. I don't think God will keep me out of heaven for it..
Don't be shy - anyone can join in - and talk about nothing really at all. It doesn't have to flow or make any sense - whatever you wish to say is great! Please keep within the rules of the site though.
I'll start:
I like food
Especially a nice pizza with garlic bread and some salad
I think it's somewhere like 633 comandments total...i know its a lot impossible to keep, is why Christ went to the cross a new covenant was made. You do know it's impossible to keep ALL the commandments, right? I don't take communion. I don't think God will keep me out of heaven for it..
I don't think they had common sense That's why they kept on sinning..so Jesus went to the cross and now we have the Holy Spirit who convicts us...reminds us of what is right and wrong ..That would be the common sense your talking about..and that is what they didn't have back then" The Holy Spirit"I find it interesting that love was not really mentioned in the Old Testament much, if ever. Yet it was clearly the spirit of the law in some respects, with adultery and murder, etc. People had common sense I guess, or more of a relationship with the Lord.
I think Love wasn't displayed until Jesus went to the cross...Jesus is Love and his actions proved it..He gave his life for us..we all know what John 3:16 says.I find it interesting that love was not really mentioned in the Old Testament much, if ever. Yet it was clearly the spirit of the law in some respects, with adultery and murder, etc. People had common sense I guess, or more of a relationship with the Lord.
