Chaplin, Pickford, Fairbanks and Marys husband D.W. Grifith started United Artists to protest the hollywood system and to own a piece or a share of the movies they made. Before the Warner Bros went into production. They had a truck or an old station wagon and traveled the mid west before theaters and showed movies town to town kinda like gypsies.

Here lately, I am looking at the threads, Ill click on one, maybe respond maybe not, then go back to the list of threads. new ones will be there that was not there a moment ago, and no not on the top as if someone just replied. Usually half way down the page. Is this happening to others? or could it be my app?

I think Chaplin married a 16 year old and fled pending statutory rape charges. That's why he dropped out sight so long

Well there were the addams family from comic books that Elvira and Vampira modeled themselves after, then there was the tv show and much later the movies.

That I did not know. I know Tales from the Crypt was also originally a comic also. I actually grew up watching the Muensters and The Adams Family cartoon from the 90's They did actually get the original Gomez to do the voice in the Cartoon. I also watched the original Twilight Zone, The Rod Sterling one growing up I only saw a few of the 80's remakes. There where alright but I think Tales from the Darkside was a better 80's Twilight Zoneish show lol. Vampira...Is she the one with black hair and a red outfit? or is that a different one Im thinking of?

I don't know, TV was black & white. Then, so were the movies. B movies were kinda like shareware then. Ed Wood was real!
