The gift of His Word (or good news) is part in parcel to many aspects of the One. And as we all individually give of ourselves to one another in light of who He is in us, and in light of the truth of the Word - He gifts us many ways under One. The One - being Jesus Christ. For we are one in spirit but we are individual art works He is investing in and molding us to be a family likeness of His Father, as we become like Him...
A gift is better than a present; for a gift can last eternal coming from the heart of the giver; while a present has a "flash and dash" syndrome going about it. For although thoughtful in heart when given - the present itself is but an inanimate object.

Interesting perspective about there being a difference between a present and a gift. I suppose that an act of kindness can be both a gift or a present because you are giving yourself and also perhaps a something in a material sense as well. I wonder if there is a spiritual difference between a gift and a present or, according to scripture, they are one and the same.
