Deade - Another day another prayer - another day another Bible reading - another day another one to "I was hungry and you gave Me to eat. I was naked and you clothed Me. I was homeless and you took Me in. I was sick, and you took care of Me." - day. It is only one day in the midst of millions yet this one day would be one less day in that million if I did not use it well to add to the million productively. I can feed only one person at a time. Just one, one, one. You come closer to Christ by becoming closer to each other. As Jesus said, "Whatever you do to the least of My brethren, you do it to Me."
My day is already busy and I am blessed to say that. I am blessed to love and have His compassion as well toward everyone I meet in this day as well. I pick up my cross and love in reality and purity and honesty and in power, for my Lord is with me, as I do unto Him in loving others as He empowers me to do so. Besides I have you guys to help encourage me in Him! What more can one ask for?!!

I pray your day takes up the grace He gives you in your quiet times with Him as well, and that His productivity He establishes to love others both practically and spiritually well...
I also pray my encouragement to you - is indeed encouraging unto Him!

Our Lord did not say to His disciples: "I have had a most successful time on earth; I have addressed thousands of people and been the means of their Salvation; now you go and do the same kind of thing."
He said: "If I then, your Lord, and Master, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet." We try to get out of it by washing the feet of those who are not of our own set. The one thing about prayer is it is God seen in power over the specifics in our lives. I pray you have been refreshed in mind and body today in sitting quietly before Him, and been graced-up and prayed-up as I like to call it.....LOL

It has been quite a while since I have attended a foot washing ceremony. I miss it. It was a very humbling event. I makes you feel closer to the one whose feet you washed. The ceremony is meant so show us how we help cleanse each other from sin. We can't walk through the world without some sticking to us, ie: dirt on the feet.

Well God has answered your prayers already and we will pray for the day then as well. For He has given you legs to get out of bed, and has made it clear to do so; giving you spiritual guidance, lead to mindful awareness - so now all you need to do is do it immediately -
. But let us pray for the day as well. Normally I would pray in private for you and I will in other areas onwardly in practice daily, but since you requested prayers for the day, this would encourage us all so lettuce do that now:"Lord, may nothing separate us from You today. Teach us how to choose only Your way today so each step will lead us closer to You. Help us walk by the Word and not our feelings. Help us to keep our hearts pure and undivided. Protect us from our own careless thoughts, words, and actions. And keep us from being distracted by OUR wants, OUR desires, OUR thoughts on how things should be. Help us to embrace what comes our way as an opportunity ... rather than a personal inconvenience.
And finally, help us to rest in the truth of Psalm 86:13 "Great is Your love toward me" You already see the ways we might fall short and mess up. But right now, I pray and encourage each of us to consciously tuck Your whisper of absolute love for us into the deepest part of our hearts. I recognize Your love for us is not based on our performance. You love us imperfections and all. That's amazing - But what's most amazing is that the Savior of the world would desire a few minutes with us (the many me's) this morning. Lord, help us to forever remember what a gift it is to sit with You like this - In Jesus' name I pray - Amen."

Amen - but the washing of the brethren feet has nothing to do with sinning, only Jesus can wash away sins, but it simply has to do with what you said at the end of your comment, that Christian believers when walking in the world also must get the worldliness on our feet ill-regardless of any sinning. This is why our encouragement in the Word and our fellowship in Christ helps wash each others feet from the muck of the world that inevitably is there simply by proximity. Amen Brother! Amen!
We have done feet washing in our class as well. It is powerful and humbling at the same time. To give and receive from others God's grace is harder than it sounds sometimes, but it is also a blessing unique to itself and bonds us well.
