I had to get dressed today I usually put on my PJs as soon as I get home from work, in order to keep my outdoor clothing as free of cat fur hair as possible. My cat is a sweetie, but very furry/fluffy. I have noticed of late that her face looks darker. She is a rescue kittie, but definitely of the Blue Point line, which is an Asian breed similar to Siamese, though NOT Siamese, coffee and cream if you will. Not white and black, no, not chocolate, more a dark grey overlaid on her creamy coat. Here is a picture of her from a couple of years ago. Maybe more like three years ago. Hmmm, I guess I have had her for almost four years now

I thought I would include my daughter's doggies also because I had to do a thread search to find a pic of Luna, since I have none on my new laptop And the thread I found one on, had these beautiful doggies also They are really lovely animals My daughter takes very good care of them.

The Lord has shown me that Harry Potter - the movie and especially the books, are a definite enticement from the dark side to lure in and desensitise people (especially the youth for they are more vulnerable by their impressionability) into not only witchcraft itself, but also into some of other dark occult arts as well, which are expressly forbidden by God the Father in the Bible.

Exactly!!! Preach it GURL!!! But not only necessarily those types of fictional movies but also includes horrors, movies with sexual references, basically all worldy movies.

Hey though, just read what you wrote - Jesus found me as a right state. A preacher encouraged me, "Don't wait to go to Jesus, don't wait until you're cleaned up. See, I thought I had to clean up a bit before 'approaching' Jesus cos He was/ is so Holy. I thought I was too unclean!!!!!! Preacher quoted Nirvana song to me, "Come as you are...." Yes, God accepts us as we are. He is the one that will do any cleaning up, from the inside out. It doesn't matter that you waited so long. My wife didn't understand about salvation until she was 56 years old. She spent years trying to clean up. Then one day it was explained to her in terms that she could understand. She said that she cried like a baby when she finally realized her salvation. It was a happy day for her.

Yes, agreed. That’s the thing with some people is that they think that they have to fix themselves up before coming to God but NO, God wants you as you are... broken, embarrassed, dirty, tired all of that! God is the FIXER not us

I’m happy your wife found Jesus and even though its took 56 years, this is a testimony of how patient and loving our God is for us!!

Totally agree lovelyness that we should help each other if we see something not right, especially potential harm.
Im sorry I didn't say anything. I guess I thought, oh it's only a name. I'm just battle worn I think, had to take a couple of years break offline from FB, YT etc etc from all the contending!! It's my First time coming back online after a few years so although I'm stronger in The Lord now, I'm a bit hesitant to jump in and point out wrong things. If you can understand, I know I have a responsibility though. Thankyou for this, I guess it's how we speak up rather than necessarily what we're speaking up about... God bless you dear ones

Yes, I had read a lot of new age material also, though some of it was quite disturbing with what seemed like some kind of demonic possession, even though the spirit speaking through them said such lovely sounding things, it went round and round in circles, as worldly philosophies often do. I was also studying with shamans; being around them increased my clairvoyance, but again different things had different meanings depending on what source you looked to, to explain things, and I found that very off putting.

When I turned to some of those same teachers and healers and practitioners to help me understand some of what I experienced that day when God spoke to me, they said things to me like, stories about Jesus are just stories, and God does not really exist. After Jesus appeared to me that same day, and what happened later that night, I could no longer accept at all what they were telling me. However, I remained firmly ensconced on the fence for almost a year after that, but was unable to find answers to my questions anywhere but within the writings of Scripture, and I finally surrendered my life to Him, the lover of my soul.

The Lover of my Soul <<<<<Powerful Words sweet sister... and I’m happy that you and our other friends in here are stepping out in faith and sharing your testimonies so that others are aware of what the enemy does to manipulate us!!

Thank you, Deror, and amen! It was the shamans and other healers/practitioners who told me that God did not exist, and that stories about Jesus were just stories. Deep in my bones I knew they were wrong, but I had been in rebellion against God, Scriptures, religion, etc, for so long, I could not easily or readily accept that everything I had thought I had known was wrong, and what I had believed to be wrong was actually right Much of my identity was tied up in those things in one way or another, even though I had been brought up in a religious home, and had previously experienced the love and forgiveness of God at a time in my life when I was feeling the most broken I ever have. I never really got into new age or Harry Potter but, in my 40's raising young "curious" teenagers, I knew it was wrong but couldn't tell them "why." So, I began studying scripture and found Deuteronomy 18, which you quoted already. Asking the Holy Spirit to help me explain, this is what came to me................and how I explained it to my children:

There are 3 realms -

The Heavenly - Highest Authority rules over all 3 realms - This is where God Almighty (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and angels dwell. We are seated in "heavenly places" in this realm in Christ Jesus. The Kingdom of Light.

The Spiritual - Satan, demons, evil spirits, lying spirits, sorcery, witchcraft, new age, etc. The Kingdom of Darkness. Principalities in high places. Has authority over anyone in Physical realm that is NOT in Christ. However, the Kingdom of Darkness cannot do anything without approval from God in the Heavenly realm. Michael the Archangel withstood the prince of Persia in this realm so that an angel (I think Gabriel) could deliver a message to Daniel.

The Physical - Everything and everyone that can be seen, touched, tasted, smelt, and heard - the universe, galaxies, solar systems, planets, stars.

On Earth, the unsaved are just "sitting ducks." Those "in Christ" are seated in the Heavenly realm with Christ and are shining the Light of Jesus Christ to a dark world. We walk on this Earth with power and authority "in Christ" to set captives free, give sight to the blind, bind up the broken hearted, preach the good news of the gospel, go about destroying the works of the enemy. Holy Spirit is in us and with us on the Earth, leading, guiding, counseling, teaching, comforting, empowering us!

I rambled on, hope it makes sense.

All that "spiritual" stuff is real, however, all the "heavenly" stuff is real, too and is the highest authority! Jesus Christ rules over the unseen and the seen. Jesus Christ is Lord of ALL and forever exalted and praised!!

My heart cries for the “sitting ducks” or moreso the lost people in this world who don’t Jesus. I can only pray taht they will encounter Him very soon!!

Okay, first of all - Thanks for the Birthday Bash! It was awesome!

As far as my day? Well, work forgot the memo on the awesome! LOL...But that is Ok - I celebrate it because I am His and created in Him, by Him, for His purposes and intentions, so with a special HALLELUJAH Attached I worked all the more and had my own internal Bash!!

But now I am off work, and my Birthday is over (so that business is put to rest) LOL ... now I can join you guys in Church.....Don't tell anyone but we are having Church up in here! The milk is turning into meat as the Word becomes alive in us! As we Living it, we begin to encourage it - one with another as born-again Children of God!

When I signed up for CC - This is what I was starving for - Fellowship!

When our spirit flows with the Holy Spirit and we obey - and another spirit flows with the Holy Spirit and obeys - there is power in the room! Wonder working power! And as it is a one-way power it sweeps us up with a force to be reckoned with; even knocking us off OUR feet. Jesus is the river of life that passes by us all in community as we all add our power God has installed in us as transformed lives to that river flow. overwhelmingly He gives us tears of joy and praise increasing our encouragement all the more! Our possessions become a tool for God to use and are not our own, our homes opens up to all God wants to touch base with. It is where God blesses us and moves us in the Words teaching and rebuking and correcting and training as we are touched by the fullness of His ever tender loving grace and care.

This is encouragement! This threads theme has become godly encouragement by simply being in Christ! It is encouragement by definition! It is Church by definition! It is Righteousness by definition!

How can all of these separate things be by the same definition - as encouragement? The Bible says the "fruit" not the "fruits" of the Spirit are....etc etc.. This shows us if we are in Christ we receive them all at once as the flow of the Holy Spirit is the same in character for us all, as we grow into both the experience of the death we went thru with Jesus on a Cross as a fact, and the Redemptive life we are being molded into now..as a powerful fact we will also experientially be trained in by God Himself via Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and circumstances.

It is awesome to see, read, and feel here! Thank you all for being surrendered to Him! Keep it all up, for there are many we do not see - That are watching! And God is showing His love one with another as His Family. It is good to be here.... I can rest with you in Christ!
