A trick I learned in the Boy Scouts (before they became PC (Maybe they should call themselves the PC Scouts now.)) is to put your hands in your arm pits to keep them warm.
Another thing you can do when you are wearing gloves is to remove your fingers from the finger sleeves and ball them up in the palm part of the glove.
