My brother tried to learn me on how to play chess but I couldn’t wrap my head around it so I gave it up...maybe it was because he beat me every.single.time. lolol.

My younger brother did as he had to learn the game as a part of a classroom project. I think that I was 14 or 15 when I began to learn how to play. Read a few chess books and learned all of the basic moves including 'en passant' which is a French term meaning 'in passing' concerning the pawns. A little tricky to understand but vital in defending against pawn promotion progressing to the last rank. A pawn that makes it to the last rank can be changed into any piece you chose. This is usually the queen but there are instances where you will promote it to a lesser piece to prevent a stalemate or a knight that will force a checkmate in a series of moves.

My family took a trip to Mexico back in 1977ish and I fell in love with the marble board and hand carved little chess pieces! Had to have it! Then my dad started teaching me the game. I haven't played it in years and definitely am not good at it!!! LOL! :D

I'm best at it in the DMC video game though it's nearly unfathomable on Hard or Very Hard mode or definitely the highest difficulty level!(hahaha hahaha,only video gamers will know what I mean!)

I haven't finished that game. Black haired Dante just irked the heck outta me I could only play it after I bought the white haired version costume
