A usual cause would be people getting into heated debates and losing their cool
I meant, what was the usual cause you have seen in the heated debates?

Any particular doctrine finding conflicts more than others?

The rapture and election especially
The two doctrines that dont have to do with our daily walk with Christ. Amazing isn't it? I have fallen victim of this as well. It is great fun to discuss these two topics but we just gotta remain calm and friendly, unless something completely heretical is stated.

Yes, Calvin approved of the execution of Michael Servetus for “heresy” in 1553 and there are some who ape that attitude on CC.

That had to happen to fulfill prophesy.
So? Apples and oranges.
Not applicable for all situations.

That's how legalists get trapped once the opposition recognizes their rigidity of thinking.

.....
I understand that, thank you. What had to get done got done by Son for us to be new in his resurrected life for us
Hebrews 7:16
who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

yes they are fun to discuss but they tend to bring out the worst in people it seems, and if heretical doctrine is the issue there is nothing wrong with rebuke but it is how it is done that matters if done in a hateful manner that isn't from God satan loves to use us to do his bidding as well feeding off of our pride and emotions

Why is there no agreement?
Should there be agreement?

In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you,
and to some extent I believe it. No doubt there have to be factions among you to show which
of you have God’s approval. 1 Corinthians 11:18-19

It is part of the process.

Calvinism was taking the way of thinking that got the Catholic Church in trouble, and replaced old false teaching for something new to crow about. Kings ruled in those days. That pontificating over others' mindset trickled down to the people.

Today we see it with elitism.

We better get accurate and sound teaching in that case....

That also means, dropping the King James lingo, which we do not think with today.

Division is not what we are called to be a kingdom divided cannot stand. But yes there certainly will be division in understanding on these topics but the issue is threefold one no one ever seems to be able to learn from others and admit they might actually be wrong two people get too heated and can start slandering and even name calling accusations and the like three it only causes more division among us.
A student of the word must be able to learn and be able to question their theology otherwise they will never learn even if the truth is presented to them.

Which version to use, there are many to compare them all to. Bottom line for me is to take it all to Daddy, PaPa, Father and hear truth over error in the first born me, that is not redeemed yet, only dead to me presently (Romans 6:11) Therefore I can hear new in Father's Spirit and Truth and see to only love all in the mercy and truth given through Son to all.
I am not a King James only fan, some people are as others are not and each from Father through risen Son for them, these get to see truth over error in this world we are in still in, not of, at least me, thanks
P.S. take whatever version verse(s) and go to maybe Biblegateway.com and look up any of the verse's in a different version to hear in you truth as Father will and does reveal to all his kids, at least for me
My best version I love is the Living Bible Paraphrased

but as for those who provoke factions?...

the fight over first birth and the Holy Spirit of Father not condemning anyone, revealing the done work of Son for us to be accountable to it
For me to read, and look it up in all versions I love God's love given us through Son to us all, wow, woe is me daily
the difference of me trying to do it and God who did it, thanks

Living Bible

Romans 6:1-11

6 Well then, shall we keep on sinning so that God can keep on showing us more and more kindness and forgiveness?
2-3 Of course not! Should we keep on sinning when we don’t have to? For sin’s power over us was broken when we became Christians and were baptized to become a part of Jesus Christ; through his death the power of your sinful nature was shattered.4 Your old sin-loving nature was buried with him by baptism when he died; and when God the Father, with glorious power, brought him back to life again, you were given his wonderful new life to enjoy.
5 For you have become a part of him, and so you died with him, so to speak, when he died;[a] and now you share his new life and shall rise as he did. 6 Your old evil desires were nailed to the cross with him; that part of you that loves to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that your sin-loving body is no longer under sin’s control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin; 7 for when you are deadened to sin you are freed from all its allure and its power over you. 8 And since your old sin-loving nature “died” with Christ, we know that you will share his new life. 9 Christ rose from the dead and will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him.10 He died once for all to end sin’s power, but now he lives forever in unbroken fellowship with God. 11 So look upon your old sin nature as dead and unresponsive to sin, and instead be alive to God, alert to him, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Division is not what we are called to be a kingdom divided cannot stand.
That belongs to a different context.
You are using those words to show that Christians must agree on everything.

Never gong to happen.
Not according to the Word of God.

God put His Word in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic.
And, it was for good reason.

What we get in English? And read for ourselves?
Can be too misleading if greater and greater accuracy is desired by the believer.

Those who seek unity have God's approval,
but as for those who provoke factions?...
People who are a part of a faction do not "provoke" factions.
They simply religiously operate in their flesh, and find themselves
attracted to some false teaching that sits well with their human viewpoint.
In fact, they will assume that someone who knows sound doctrine is provoking them.

The angels watch and know...
And they will learn lessons by man's example of what they faced
when certain angels split off and caused confusion within their camp.

no we don't need to agree on everything but we also need to be united in Christ being united in Christ means we don't slander each other mock accuse and name call we can disagree but be respectful about it

Yes, as Paul wrote in TIT 1:10-11a, "For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group [Judaizers]. They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households [house churches] by teaching things they ought not to teach."
