You may not be properly hydrated, so be sure to drink plenty of water.

Flax seeds - you can add them to food, just sprinkle them on.

Bananas - either on their own or make a fruit smoothie every morning (banana, milk, ice, protein powder)

Well this thread appears to have been old, but bumped.

Apple cider. Add apple cider vinegar for extra potency. Combined with high fiber and a regulated diet and you will probably end up a lot more regular.

Also a fan favorite is aloe vera juce. Fresher is better. Mix it in with your apple cider. Maybe add a splash of prune juice (real prune juice, not from concentrate, and make sure the juice maker keeps the pulp intact for the extra fiber content).

I would personally try aloe vera mixed with as much apple cider vinegar as you can tolerate, mingled with apple cider to help you keep it down. That and copious amounts of fruits, vegetables, and water.

Magnesium, however too much you'll be too loose. I take this when I can't sleep. Then I stop for the reason I just mentioned.
Banana will sometimes stop you up and dairy. It takes meat a long time to break down in your stomach you may need to just eat fruit, veggies and beans and rice. Something simple.

Cascara and goldenseal are herbal laxatives. Also, you might want to try fish oil pills and/or a nutritional drink.

Lettie: These are muffins. It is for the issue you are having. And taste good
and oh so easy to make. It will make 24 and you can eat a couple one day
see if it works. When it does you can do one a day. My husband eats his in
evening. I eat it as snack when I think of it. You can freeze them in a container
and they will stay fresh. If the kids get them, I am sure they will think they are
eating a treat. Tell them it is for Moms health. I have IBS also, these are so
good really, it is like eating brownie, only better.

3 cups All Bran Cereal.
1 Box Fat Free Brownie Mix. (or you can use regular)
1 and 2/3 cup hot water
1 and 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder

In a bowl, combine cereal, baking powder and hot water.
Stir for about 4 mins. Add Brownie Mix. Mix well.

In Muffin tin spray some non stick spray.
I use a 2/3
measuring cup for each. It will make 24 muffins.
Bake at 350 degree for 10 to 15 mins.

I use Kellogs All Bran Cereal
Generic Brownie Mix
These are moist and taste good too.

Linseed is very good.

Make porridge out of oats and linseed and rye and some fun healthy seeds such as chia and a touch honey and salt.
Serve with milk, brown sugar and dried fruit.

You can also purchase dried fruit mix from chemist.

Good 'ol prunes, prune juice, psyllium husk, bulky veggies, lots of water, Kefir or some kind of probiotics... all work for me!

i also heard dairy causes constipation, but i won't give up my Kefir and goat cheese! (in moderation, of course)
