The problem is just because Israel is in the bible you think it is not subject to the same scrutiny that is applied to everyone else. Countries like America and Australia and the west in general are hypocrites in the way they expect everyone else to abide by rules of war and treatment of civilians, when they turn a blind eye to what Israel does. Remember the uproar when Russia attacked Georgia?

I think God is on the Palestinians side what do you think? Afterall, Israel hasn't been able to destroy them, or win against them, so they are obviously under God's protection . (using the same faulty logic that people use to explain Israels prevalance in past wars).

That militants hide amongst civilian populations is the excuse whenever a civilian home is destroyed. But they never have any solid intel or proof that there are militants hiding in there. In fact in the lebanon conflict there were no militants near quite a few of the civilian targets, but Israel targeted them anyway such as schools, hospitals etc because they were called "militant supporting infrastructure" . In any case, reason dictates that you do not fire upon a civilian home if there are innocents in there. That is the difference between a civilised modern army and murderers. That Israelis deliberately targeted civilian targets is solid fact, as recorded by quite a number of humanitarian organisations who were on the ground when the conflitc happened.

Yes no solid proof of them hiding in particular buildings perhaps... but of a group of buildings or area? As mucha s I'd love to believe in the never firing upon a civilian home if there are innocents in there... no offense but if they're shooting at a position who are taking a bit of fire, from that particular building, you expect them not to return fire?

I think your treating war like it's a lovely little affair where soldiers drink tea, carefully plan their strategies and discuss philosophy in their downtime, unfortunately it isn't, we can try to avoid civilian casualties but they can't be totally avoided, and often civilian building do support a war... if indirectly.

Also... what about the rockets that hezbolah was firing into Israel? They certainly aren't targetting military facilities.

That's why I despise things like the Geneva Convention. War isn't fluffy, you can't make rules for it.

I mean, look at what all the rules have done! By not following these rules, Israel's wars are fast. They go in, do the job, get out. How about America's? It's been, what, eight or nine years now and we're still fighting the same two wars.

What do you mean "The Jews are non-Israelite" ? I understand you can convert to Judaism and become a "Jew", but if you are born from a Jewish mother even if she converted you are being born into the Covenant. If you are Jewish you can then go to Ysrael under the law of return. That would make you an "Israeli" by your definition, yes?
