I decided to go back to college for ultrasound technician. I should have seven or eight classes before I can apply for the program. My problem is there will be two math classes I have to take and math gave me an anxiety attack when I was getting my first degree. I'm going back to college because I want a better life for myself. I'm tired of dead end jobs. I'm smart and I know I can succeed I I'm anxious for the math classes. Everyone please pray for me I really need it. Thank you and God bless.

blessings on this new adventure! why do you experience anxiety with math?

i know people sometimes struggle with learning the material. many college campuses offer free tutoring for students. maybe that's something that can help you.

I have a learning disability in high school my 10th grade year I finished all the special need a resource room math classes. I begged my math teacher to let me take algebra so when I got to college I would know what to do and she refused. She done lied and said I didn't need to take math in college. When I got the college I aced all of my classes except Algebra. I was on academic probation it wasn't that I wasn't trying I'm at with a two-door 4 days a week It just never made any sense to me.

You don't need to know algebra. No one actually uses it.. lol

Basic math is good enough.. My school didn't even offer algebra. I HATED math, still do.. lol

In defense of algebra, it teaches logical thinking and problem solving. I liked algebra in school, but hated geometry because my spatial skills are poor.

If you have problems, you can go to a website called Khan Academy. It is completely free. You type in any topic and can get tutored. If you think of math as an exercise in critical thinking rather than numbers, it may help. It helped me to think of math that way.

minus 8x on both sides of the equal sign
10x + 2 = 52
minus 2 on both sides of the equal sign
10x = 50
divide by 10 on both sides of the equal sign
x = 5

as a sample algebra problem

Will pray for you, Tell you a story I recently graduated with my associates degree at a community college the oldest person was 80 years old I think. Went to study for computers to learn more about them, and is still going to college. Secondly, my mom just received her bachelor's at 50. Now she is heading for her masters. So no matter what God will help you throughout the way, and secondly nothing is impossible. I thought it would be impossible for me, but I heading for my bachelor's degree next.
