144,000, tribulation evangelists?

The function of the seal 144000 are to follow Christ wherever he goes. These are sealed after the 7 year tribulation period. How would one know this? Because of Rev. Chapter 6 and 7. These chapters are the ones that the following chapters up to Rev. 21 : 5 describe in detail. For instance, like at the end of Rev. 7 when it says God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. When and where does this take place? Rev. 21:4 When New Jerusalem comes down from heaven. Towards the middle of chapter 7 when one of the elders told John that a great multitude that could not be numbered that these are they which come out of great tribulation. What is this? Rev. 19:4-9 This is the marriage supper of the Lamb. At the end of the 6th seal in Rev. 6 People where praying for the rocks and mountains to fall on them for the great day of his wrath has come. When is this ? In Rev. 16 the 7th vial, this is the destruction of Mystery Babylon in which Rev. chapter 17 and 18 describe in detail. The 144000 are sealed after the destruction of Mystery Babylon. That is why a Lamb is on Mt. Zion in Rev 14 redeeming the 144000 from the earth then the angel announcement that Babylon is fallen is fallen. Note that Babylon is NOT falling it had already fallen before the 144000 were sealed like in Rev chapters 6 and 7.

Ken, these Jews are “sealed,” which means they have the special protection of God from all of the divine judgments and from the Antichrist to perform their mission during the tribulation period. Revelation 6:17 speaks of the people remaining in the world wondering who can stand from the wrath to come. These sealed Jews' ability to "stand" will grab the attention of those who are not, and perhaps cause them to seek what they have to offer.

The tribulation period is a future seven-year period of time in which God will enact divine judgment against those who reject Him, the purpose being for Him to see the completion of His plan of salvation for the nation of Israel, as well as those who would hear the message of Christ who are not Jews and come to faith in Him.

All of this is according to God’s revelation to the prophet Daniel (Daniel 9:24–27). The 144,000 Jews are a sort of “first fruits” (Revelation 14:4) of a redeemed Israel which has been previously prophesied (Zechariah 12:10; Romans 11:25–27), and their mission seems to be to evangelize the post-rapture world and proclaim the gospel during the tribulation period. As a result of their ministry, millions—“a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language” (Revelation 7:9)—will come to faith in Christ.

As an aside as to why you've struggled so much to understand the perspective of them being evangelists, you can't just get the Bible's message by focusing on one passage, or even one book. The context of a teaching may be found in the writings of thousands of years before, and if you don't search out those truths, you will miss them.

Are these 7year time periods human years or God years? I've had countless debates about genisis and some people saying it's a 24 hour day or it's a god day that could last thousands of years! How come we can be so specific about this time period? As we know,time periods in the bible are always open to interpretation so as to meet specific phrophecy.The problem I see is people who say " oh this day could be a hundred human years " to fit with there interpretation of scripture are now having a problem with Revelation because they've made up things about the time scales used in the bible,if your gonna lie you need to make sure that lie fits EVERY situation

In that case only Jewish believers would be left to evangelise the world. This goes against the Gospel because if you are a believer in Christ you are part of his Bride so according to this view being Jewish would not stop you from being raptured. This view is connected with the idea that God has two separate plans for Jews and Gentiles. It is true that a remnant of Israel will be saved and I believe the 144000 represent that remnant but Revelation says they will be protected from the Dragon for three and a half years. The idea that
all of Israel will be saved is another false idea. If it were true that being Jewish alone is enough for salvation everyone would only need to convert to Judaism now for a place in heaven

Where in the Bible does it say what the function of the 144,000 are? I have heard people say for years, even pastors in sermons, that they are to be evangelists in the Great Tribulation. But what verses say this, specifically?

I have had people tell me that their function of being evangelists is in Revelation 7 and Revelation 14, in Daniel 9, in Zech. 12 and in Romans 11 but I just finished reading all of those chapters and I still don't see where it says they are evangelists or even what their function is. It seems that is something people hear and just repeat.

Is that 3 1/2 human years or God years like in Genisis? How can we now be so specific about time spans when we can't even agree if a day in the OT is a 24hr day or a God day that could be any length of time??

Is this 7 human years or God years like in genisis? How can we be so sure of any time scale in the bible when people interpret scripture to suit there particular beliefs? I don't think we can be so specific about time scales in one book and not in all others,mabey this just doesn't suit the church to actually say when the end of days is because like the JW's they'll get it wrong and never be taken seriously again and so lose all there power over believers

What is a God Year? I have never heard of them in Genesis or anywhere else in the Bible.

In Genesis it clearly states that each day is an Evening and a morning. Any other' interpretation' of Genesis is actually speculation' based on modern ideas about the age of the earth. The length of the tribulation week is based on Daniels seventy weeks of years determined for Israel in his Prophecy.

Realy? There's some on here that would disagree with u friend,they say a day is no more than a period of light followed by darkness, with no determined length for that period of light this way they can say the FACT that different species of animals and certain plants have clearly evolved from somthing else is all part of Gods creation because "a period of light " could last 10,000years or any length of time required!!! I personally belive a day then is the same as a day now,a 24hour period,but that's just my belief,like I've said,when do we take lengths of time literally in the bible? I'm sure if the bible is indeed The Word of God then He wouldn't want to confuse us unessaseraly,not like some Men of the church who like to change kent his of time to fit there description of biblical events

God years or human years? I think that both are about the same. Times, time, and half time, or 1260 days and 1260 days, or 42 months and 42 months is equal to 7 year, 70th week tribulation period.
