My thinking after reading Clarence's paper on the decision....
And Chief Justice's decision about the EPA...

The Sodomy legalization that was created in 2003 by a SCOTUS decision is likely going to be reversed as well...which would make same sex marriage also a moot decision.

So...both things would be up to individual states and illegal in other states. Meaning that if a person was married to a person of the same sex in Massachusetts if they went to one of the states that is serious about criminalizing sodomy....they get to go to JAIL....

then the crying can start.

What if a student is gay and is afraid to come out to his or her parents, and he wants to go talk to a guidance counselor or something. This takes that discretion away from them

also YA literature, a lot of librarians now have to put separate sections for the lbqt crowd to make it obvious which books have that content.

they cant just have straight romances anymore...also the lqbt want it to be separate because they cant find books about it (though most of those romance end badly. even a straight romance like romeo and juliet) vos they are too young and ignorant to handle their own bodies

Society at large is becoming more progressive and for the most part people don't really care about sexual preferences as long as it's consenting adults
So maybe since the Catholic Church knows society is becoming more progressive, they know they have two options, either evolved with the times or become irrelevant
Oh and they need to apologize for protecting pedos

As I mentioned earlier, society in general is becoming more progressive and most people couldn't care less what consenting adults are doing. We have far more pressing things to worry about like our economy on the verge of collapse, sending your kids and worrying if they're going to come home alive. But oh no two guys were holding hands in walmart. Who cares?

The concern is that if the vast majority approve of behavior which scripture explicitly condemns, anyone still holding to the Biblical beliefs on this issue may be villainized to such an extent that the gospel is effectively silenced.

They view anything last and compliance to their ideology as them being prosecuted
A society becomes more and more progressive, religion becomes less and less relevant.
Some churches are realizing this and are trying to be inclusive of LGBT
Gay people are not trying to take over that's just a crazy Alex Jones conspiracy theory. All they want is to be represented like normal people. Hey friends and coworkers who are gay and they are indeed normal people. We talk and cut up and talk about stuff just like you was with anyone else

Yea from the beginning of the world till 2022 and nobody's okay with gay's yet and along comes somebody saying everybody's going to be okay with it in 2040,,,fat chance right? In the mean while there's people like me who aren't sure if we will be able to afford to eat,go to their doctors appointment this month or even if we did if we can get the prescriptions filled if we could go.

If they are acknowledging that someone can identify as an "LGBTQ+ Catholic," it means the gospel they are preaching has already been severely compromised, which is worse than cowering from the truth. The above amounts to transforming the gospel into something blasphemous and abominable.
