I liked the nightly bible studies but understand why they were discontinued since most of the cc staff are volunteers and its spiritually draining.
Our church does 6 week bible studies meeting once a week on topics/ books of the Bible. The person teaches for 15-20 minutes and gives about the same amount of time for questions and discussion.
There is a "simple Bible" chat room (haven't been in chat in a while) but most people don't go because there is no audience for their show.
I do remember going into Bible study chat room and someone wanted to practice their English skills by reading the Bible out loud. I thought that was pretty edifying. I was disappointed when others kept stealing the mic to discuss topics like movies and what they ate for dinner, but its the internet.
I think a few people left the Bible study room to another room so they could continue their reading of the Bible. sometimes its easier to just move rooms then try to fight for the mic.
