We are not supposed to have preferred teachers. We are supposed to listen to what teachers say and then judge their assertions by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. Your human teacher's ideas do not seem to agree with what the scriptures actually say.

So if God is something like us, how do we determine in which ways and to which degree He is like us, and in which ways and to what degree He is not like us? Through His word? Or through Greek and Roman metaphysical speculation?
