    Is the end near?

I was scrolling along, and I saw the sign - it's quite disturbing! file:///C:/Users/Jamie/Pictures/Ahhhh.png Please someone tell me I'm not going to become some fiend bent on global-domination, a hand-stamping maniac, albeit admired by the world...

I'm not a stupid person, but

here's a stupid question. I'm confused as to how to insert pictures into a thread post. I'll have the url that shows up for just that pic being in my browser, but I don't see the actual picture show up... or does it not until you have posted the post?

    A gentle reminder

When it comes to new people who come to this site: Sure, there are trolls out there, who pose as inquisitive, but only mean to cause drama and strife. There are many of them. That said, we would do well to remember these are people we don't know, never met, and haven't even seen, on the other...

    Witnessing

I'm just going to make this really short (or try): You've heard the Sinner's Prayer, leading someone in this to salvation. Without interjecting my thoughts (yet), how do you witness when opportunity comes? Or do you SEEK opportunity, as in street evangelism? How necessary is witnessing...

    Debate Tactic

I'm sure we've all dealt with that person or people that we think "Geez, why can't she/he just consider what I think? Why can't she/he consider a different point of view?" I found an article that many of you may find helpful regarding this matter. :) Dealing With Close-Mindedness God bless.

Can we "make" God bless us by using obedience?

http://www.kevinathompson.com/dangerous-assumption-gods-will/ In light of discussions I've had recently, I fed led to open a thread concerning this topic. There seems to be the common teaching and understanding that if we obey God, that He will bless us as WE want Him too, and that our lives...

How did you meet your husband/wfie?

I feel like taking a break from serious, theological discussion with people who don't debate honestly, to pose this question, in effort to make myself smile and feel warm from your responses. :) <3 How did you meet your spouse? If you're still dating or engaged, I'd like to hear your story...

    Civility

I got into a conversation with one of my Facebook friends over a Christian topic that I disagreed with. A couple of other Christians who agreed with me were involved. The result - agreeing to disagree. A good discussion. No sarcasm. No insults. (Which we're all prone to.) It was quite...

    So, how do you "like?"

Hi all! I was just curious about this. How do you determine whether or not you're going to "like" a post? For me, I will like a post even if I don't agree with the premise, but yet think it's a good argument. I have liked posts defending both OEC and YEC. I can see the points on both sides...

Really upset - tired of the discrimination

Hi fellow CCers, I struggled to think of where to put this thread, and I thought the Family Forum was appropriate, given that this issue effects the family as a whole, those families that have members that suffer from this illness. Anyone here have bipolar? Or some other mental illness...

    The Problem of Original Sin

Ok fellow theologians. I have a question for you. The bible seems to contradict itself... not saying that it ACTUALLY DOES, just that it seems to. I was hoping for your thoughts; one of you might be wiser than me in this area. The issue: The Garden of Eden. Temptation comes first, then the...

    Have you noticed...

I hope I don't get banned myself for asking people this ^_^ but has anyone noticed users getting banned for expressing opinions? I remember a girl one time who was on this site who seemed to have been banned simply for stating non-Christian opinions. Now, I can understand if someone's...

    Job

I remember way back in 2011 I posted to this forum requesting prayer that I find a job. I was up for anything - fast food, whatever. Now, I'm asking for discernment in a career choice. I need to decide so I can start the schooling for it. I talked to my pastor and ultra-close friend last...

How do I see guidance from God?

Hi. Without getting into much detail, I'm confused as to how I should choose my career path. I just got married recently, and I want to contribute fiancially and be able to afford some more things and be able to save. I just finished my third year of college - but with no progression towards...

Have you heard of the PASS?

Hello CCers! I'm going back to college in the fall. I will be majoring in Sociology. I was accepted into Fairmont State College earlier this year, and between my grants and the PASS, I will be able to finish my bachelor's without drawing out any more loans. So what is the PASS, you may ask...

    Battle with Weight

I feel kinda selfish that I'm asking for prayer for this when there are more dire needs on this prayer list, but I feel no request is too small for God. In the past year and a half, I have gained almost 30 pounds. I feel very unattractive. I'm 150 pounds and though there's many women who...
