    Holy Rollers

Please point out where I was “name calling” and “feuding”, thanks! Actually, I’ve done quite a bit of research. I do know quite well who I’m talking about. I also have family and friends caught up on some of what I was referring to. I’m glad to read that. Nowhere did I say all Pentecostal...

    Holy Rollers

It’s not about making fun of others, “persecuting” them, or “slandering” them, I wholeheartedly agree that we should not do so. Holding to sound doctrine over ecstatic, emotional and unBiblical “manifestations” and experiences (such as barking like a dog, hissing like a snake, crawling around...

    What Year was Protestantism Founded?

In the sense that the added traditions and doctrines of the Catholic Church were not part of the Church, as we can clearly see in Scripture? Yes. Traditions and ordinances such as indulgences, Purgatory, the Sacraments, prayer to saints and Mary etc. are completely foreign to Scripture and...

    What Year was Protestantism Founded?

How about the Waldensians and Albigensians? They were earlier than Wycliffe.

    Holy Rollers

Yes, I find such “manifestations” entirely unBiblical and very concerning.

    What Year was Protestantism Founded?

As I understand it, though many seem to believe that the “Protest” began with Luther, it did not. Christians had been “protesting” against Rome/the Papacy/the Catholic Church centuries before Luther, and many thousands of these Christians paid with their lives for doing so.

    Holy Rollers

Is this in reference to being “slain in Spirit”, “drunk in the Spirit”, “Holy laughter” and other such manifestations?

Is there a Biblical Way to Worship or is it Just Human Preference?

Yes, you are correct. The Bible does warn about increasing deception in the “last days”, however, and we are obviously getting closer to Christ’s return every day. We certainly do live in confusing times.

Is there a Biblical Way to Worship or is it Just Human Preference?

Honestly, what you write sounds like some sort of Gnosticism. Jesus still had a physical body post resurrection you know. He still ate with His disciples and they could touch Him.

Is there a Biblical Way to Worship or is it Just Human Preference?

I haven't just said "you're wrong" and left it at that. I have given Biblical reasons for not accepting the legalistic forbidding of musical instruments in worship. You have not given a single verse to support your claim. If God truly had forbidden instrumental worship music, it would be...

Is there a Biblical Way to Worship or is it Just Human Preference?

As musical instruments are not forbidden in Scripture, it is indeed a “personal preference” whether one chooses to use them or not. QUOTE="OneFaith, post: 3654915, member: 245240"]My church leadership is Christ. Christ is indeed the Head of the Church. Indeed, and Scripture is clear that He...

Is the GREAT CITY in BABYLON, actually in Babylon, in Rev. 18?

I'll need to check it out. Thanks for sharing the link. :)

Not at all. They were honest questions, respectfully asked.

Is there a Biblical Way to Worship or is it Just Human Preference?

Why are you adding "personal preferences" then? (Or why is your church and its leadership)? If the Bible is silent on something (though we have far more reason, from the OT to understand that God is not against instrumental music in worship of Him) then it would be a "personal preference" either...

Is there a Biblical Way to Worship or is it Just Human Preference?

You are making an argument from silence. There is nothing in Scripture that forbids the use of musical instruments in worship. How do you know that for absolute certainty? Instruments were used in the OT and no doubt still were in Jesus’ time on earth. When did He forbid them? When did any of...

Is there a Biblical Way to Worship or is it Just Human Preference?

I don’t believe there is anything wrong with being joyful, of course, and sometimes that may be expressed outwardly with dancing and songs of praise. Joy may also be expressed quietly, peacefully and reverently and it is no less joy for all that. When in comes to “charismatic worship”...

Is there a Biblical Way to Worship or is it Just Human Preference?

So, are you claiming that any church (or individual) that uses instruments in songs of worship is not “Christ’s church?”

Beware The NAR Movement' The Passion Translation TPT

Absolutely. As Paul also wrote, he determined to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2: 1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save...

Beware The NAR Movement' The Passion Translation TPT

Indeed. Knowing that the Church is the “Bride of Christ” is one thing, making Song of Songs about Jesus and the Church is quite another.

Is the GREAT CITY in BABYLON, actually in Babylon, in Rev. 18?

I do know that we are not appointed to wrath, absolutely. I also know that when precisely the “rapture” will take place is another highly debated and often disagreed on topic.
