    Dead To The World

Sounds like a misunderstanding. Saying an unbeliever is of the world isn't disrespect, it's truth; and the reason Scripture uses the term is because unbelief always involved the majority of mankind (Mat 7:13, 14). Unless you're discussing something else.

    Dead To The World

Just to let you know, I type these articles, their books are out of print, too antiquated. Is your use of "firmament" in relation to the physical earth? if so, the article's usage concerns the unbelievers.

    Dead To The World

Those who are reborn will at times find themselves seemingly dissatisfied and unfeeling! This is always temporary, for faith strengthening (e.g. continuing to believe in Christ’s expiation for your sins), and is due to the ongoing presence of the “old man” within (Ro 7:17, 20). Whether or not we...

    Strength in Weakness! (part A)

Many are lacking that surety of God's "work" in their life. They still think it's always up to you. Wrong, it's up to God to keep putting it all in our hearts and minds!

    Strength in Weakness! (part A)

Yes, good point about being receptive--I believe God causes all who are reborn to learn to be "patient in tribulation" (Rom 12:12), just as He causes them to "desire" to "please" Him (Phl 2:13).

Ture, and it's in the trials when we learn the most!

    Strength in Weakness! (part A)

What would you say is most productive concerning the strengthening of our faith? Isn’t it in our trials and difficulties, which is when we are most vulnerable and sensitive; which is when we are to trust God the most for using everything to “work together for good” (Ro 8:28)? This is the best...

    Strength in Weakness! (part B)

So that, in some unexplained way, carnal persons who looked on the outward appearance were in danger of losing their respect for him. It was not that the thorn was sin, or some evil that he did—but was something that was entirely beyond the Apostle’s control, and that made him an object of...

    The Difference

Of course believing there is a God doesn't save, and faith that appears to move away from God is not true faith, regardless of any situation. The only way faith works is always putting God above family and friends!

    The Difference

Wanted to let you know that I have always appreciated your replies, they are sincere in my opinion. But we can be quite wrong in much of our understanding, which of course always requires continuous searching of truth and patience! When God changes you in rebirth, He makes certain that you...

    The Difference

Hi, and appreciate your reply and comments! I also think one who is concerned whether or not they are sinning has God "working " in him (Phl 2:13). Yes, if you continue to "sin willfully" (Heb 10:26) I'd say you never had faith; because it's my understanding that faith and salvation are...

    The Difference

There are believers who think that when a Christian sins it’s intentional or willful. Isn’t the primary difference in one reborn the fact that one will never want to sin (Heb 10:26)? Though we know that one cannot live without sinning, it is strongly against the desire of the Christian to sin...

    There I am

Christians need no law, nor is there any law "against" them (Gal 5:23); for "God works in you to desire and do His good pleasure" (Phl 2:13)! God bless Friend!

    There I am

“Have you ever thought of the Father dealing with you, not as to what you are in yourself (one possessing a sin nature but forgiven and accepted—NC), but as to where He has positioned you in His Son (your “condition” cannot affect your “position”—NC)? Have you ever thought that it is the...

    A Few Quite Quotes

I think the most important to know is "patience in our trials," which is more fruitful when we know that the difficulties are being used for our "good" (Ro 8:28); and it's when we learn the most of God's love and desires! It was best said by Christ that "in your patience you possess your soul"...

    A Few Quite Quotes

“I do not become devoted in the true sense until I have found my rest (certainty of Christ’s expiation for my sin—NC) in the Lord Jesus. I am, up to this, rather looking to receive from Him. I am more an object to myself; but when I find how fully I am an object to Him, then my heart is at...

    The Eschatology of Israel

Hi, and appreciate your somewhat instructional reply! Regardless or how God is going to do it, Israel will be restored, as they always have, to God. I believe it will be during the Millennium, with Christ and the Christians ruling over Israel (Mat 19:28); and it's my suspicion that "judging"...

    The Eschatology of Israel

It doesn't mention the Church, just Israel and Judah. It's my understanding that Jesus came only to the Jews, and sent His Apostles to the Gentiles.
