I led youth group too for several years! Good times!! (But I'm happy just dropping off my kiddo and leaving now)!!

I'm the Manager at a Christian Child Care Center. (I've been there for 28 years!) I spend my days with 20 2.5-6 years olds. I get my dose of early childhood and preteen every day. I really do love it though!

Something that has meant alot to me as a single mom is the words of encouragement so many people give me. If you see her doing a great job as a single mom, maybe you could write her out a little card and let her know? I know (and I'm betting you do too!) that we can be really hard on ourselves...

I think we need to show them the gospel by the way we act and treat them first. In my experience, people are more willing to hear what we have to say when we've shown them we care about them. :)

This reminds me of the saying, "People won't care how much we know until they know how much we care". And it's true.

That's about it isn't it? There's probably no neighborhood that's completely drug free. :( Randomly I'll hear about grow ops and drug busts and some of them are in areas you'd never think would have a problem with them. Not good. Not good at all.
