    That would be a faith that cannot save. Obedient faith saves, not mere belief.

    Probably doesn't get answered because it's a straw man.

    Feeding the hungry and clothe the naked

    Everyone has their gift. If that's your thing, go for it.

    Feeding the hungry and clothe the naked

    I don't consider that a commandment to feed just anyone.

    Walking after the flesh vs. Walking after the Spirit

    Either one is good. If you think you can will the former into being by "emptying yourself" you are delusional IMO. That fullness would come by GOD's anointing, and nothing else.

    Is Messiah,(The Anointed One) the Father?

    I know that verse is there, but that says something different than what you said.

    Is Messiah,(The Anointed One) the Father?

    What the...? That's the funniest thing I've read today. Definitely not something in the bible.

    Feeding the hungry and clothe the naked

    Jesus never really commanded that. Also Paul said if anyone doesn't work, let him not eat. There's also this: And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:3 So merely feeding the poor is...

    Walking after the flesh vs. Walking after the Spirit

    I think people who talk like that don't understand what they're talking about. Godliness is not about self-negation. It's about yielding our members to the holy spirit to work righteousness. It is a gradual growing process, not a complete emptying and then filling.

    No they're not, but that was a real dodge and distraction.

    Without holiness, no one will see the lord. There is no salvation apart from sanctification.

    So are you saying that Paul wasn't talking about eternal salvation in 1 Timothy 4:16?

    So make self-effort (strive) to lay down self-effort? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. G75 ἀγωνίζομαι agonizomai (ag-o-nid'-zom-ai) v. 1. to struggle 2. (literally) to compete for a prize 3. (figuratively) to contend with an adversary 4. (genitive case) to endeavor to accomplish something

    The bible says that those that have received salvation will seek to purify themselves even as Jesus (that one) is pure. And every one having this hope upon [Jesus] purifies himself, as that one (εκείνος) is pure. 1 John 3:3 εκείνος G1565 ἐκεῖνος ekeinos (ek-ei`-nos) p/d. 1. that one 2...

    What do you mean by instrument? And are you speaking of Christ's faith or our faith?

    OSAS= House Built on Sand

    Where did Jesus say he only saves those who are not trying to save themselves? I keep reading that we are to actively participate in our salvation by striving to enter through the narrow gate. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both...

    The standard of obedience is remaining in Christ. Whatever that takes is what you do. Denying the faith is not remaining in Christ.

    OSAS= House Built on Sand

    There never has been something called unconditional salvation. It has always been, and still is, dependent upon faith and "Obey my voice". GOD is long suffering, but he does not save people without faith in him, whether they never had it, or they abandoned it. Anyone who thinks otherwise is...

    There is no crucifying Christ over and over. Those who abandon the faith are not allowed to crucify him again.

    I think those who cast doubt on the warnings and admonitions to persevere in the faith are putting a stumbling block in front of believers.
