    Another One Bites the Dust

Its not even close to the equivalent. She isn't in office by birth, she wasn't anointed to be there - she's in office because our country is under judgement and we as a nation are being given over to sin, and they VOTED for her! She is a sign of our punishment, our being given over to the evil...

    Another One Bites the Dust

No, you've been elevating her position. Not treating her with anything but a desire to call her things she doesn't deserve. You went from comparing her to an anointed high priest to telling people they need to treat her as their sister in Christ. There might be less push back against you if...

    Another One Bites the Dust

My response was solely speaking to your attempt at making a direct correlation between Ananias - an anointed high priest of the Temple in Jerusalem - and Liz Cheney. Why? That's an offense! Liz Cheney isn't anointed by God to anything - I can't even call her my sister in Christ without...

    Another One Bites the Dust

Read my posts in this thread and tell me where I called anyone a witch. All I ever did was to tell you there's no comparison between Ananias and Cheney... Not the same animal. Sure you're free to point out that Christians should have Christ-like mannerisms, but Christ was critical of people so...

    Another One Bites the Dust

By the way, "one another" is our brethren in Christ. Liz Cheney just doesn't strike me as my sister. When she does I'll afford her the respect of a sister. In the meantime, I'll afford her the respect of someone trying to destroy a political party I happen to at least partly agree with.

    Another One Bites the Dust

The liberals in Texas are angry about the new abortion laws, they are going to funnel a lot of money to Chaney in the hopes of at least splitting the 2024 presidential primary vote.

    Another One Bites the Dust

Yes, according to his position and prior to the destruction of the Temple in 70AD he very much was a ruler of his people - and Paul, former Pharisee, offered him the treatment that position afforded him. Has Liz Cheney ever been anointed as the High Priest of the Jerusalem Temple prior to it's...

    Another One Bites the Dust

Ananias was anointed high priest prior to Jesus' ministry. While he no longer held that position during the exchange with Paul, he was still a man afforded the respect of that office and anointing - as shown by Paul's words and actions. That is a far cry from Liz Cheney. There is zero comparison.

    Another One Bites the Dust

I don't compare her to a high priest of my God, as some here seem want to do. Ananias was a legitimate priest of our God. I'll never compare Liz Cheney and her treatment to the proper treatment of a High Priest of my God. She's a two faced politician who can't manage to do her job - and that's...

    Another One Bites the Dust

As an aside, what Christ could speak - being our High Priest and their superior is shown in Acts to be something that we cannot do, and even Christ used kid gloves when engaging the Sanhedrin. However today, with the destruction of the Temple, also a thought process no longer valid. Sans any...

    Another One Bites the Dust

Clearly, there's a difference between high priest of the Jerusalem Temple and Liz Cheney...to attempt comparison is meritless.

    Another One Bites the Dust

Heard this morning she might try and make a run at the presidency in 2024. She won't even come close to getting through the primary process on the republican ticket. Maybe now she'll be honest and change party instead of trying to destroy ours.

Can Men and Women Be Platonic Friends?

I definitely hope to be one of them... :) I'll be that older woman you're friends with!

Can Men and Women Be Platonic Friends?

I think friendships and dating is a minefield for anyone who is true to the faith, male or female. It's not easy, but in the end when we put God first and not ourselves, we will find the right path to be on.

Can Men and Women Be Platonic Friends?

I prefer the company of men myself. Most women are vapid, gossip continually and are generally far too emotional about everything. The women who aren't like that usually have a life, career, family so little time for new friends. As a result I have always gravitated toward having male friends...

    Having children

I didn't experience knowing Christ when my children were young, my daughter died of cancer before I came to Christ and my son was already over 30... However, I can't imagine having children doing anything other than to give you a greater understanding of the love Christ has for you as well as...

Little Luxuries That Make a Big Difference.

It may seem overwhelming but most I imagine will do whatever it takes to get through. In the end the instinct to survive is very strong, and most people will do whatever it takes when faced with it.

Little Luxuries That Make a Big Difference.

The majority is truly not necessary but rather, a convenience. I have washed clothes in the bathtub, hung clothes on a line to dry. I've gone without toilet paper and boiled water for baths. I've left the house and gone to a library for internet necessities as well (job applications etc). I've...

Little Luxuries That Make a Big Difference.

I think internet is seen as a necessity these days. It is in my house. So is a printer. I have cancelled my Netflix in favor of Amazon prime TV. The only show Netflix has that I miss is the British baking show, but since Netflix took off a bunch of the older seasons I don't miss it so much...
