Free will ? Is it always a choice

I'm not clear regarding the thread title and opening post. You describe a person going from normal mental capabilities and then loosing them. Are you asking if they still have a will?

Free will ? Is it always a choice

No, I'm saying that the will never changes. The will (as a choosing mechanism) is part of our anthropological make-up from creation. It doesn't change before, during, or after an unregenerate becomes a regenerate. It doesn't change before, during, or after a person dies and goes to heaven or...

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

Eternal life is a gift that a person receives all at once in this life. It's free, paid in full by Jesus' work on the cross. You receive it by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. You go from not having it to having it in a moment.

Free will ? Is it always a choice

The will (as a choosing mechanism) doesn't change, but the choice options that God submits to the will do change. To the unsaved person: the choice options submitted to the will are to accept or to reject Jesus as your Savior. To the saved person: those 2 choice options are no longer submitted...

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

Either/or is the man-made popular propaganda. As a "theory", it fails the test of Scripture: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Tim 1:15 (KJV) O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me...

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

You're describing sinners. That's all of us, unsaved sinners & saved sinners. I see no occasion in the biblical account to blame him for his wife's choices.

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

Eternal life is the free gift of God, paid in full by Jesus on the cross. It's God's preservation of the saved that keeps the saved saved.

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

Actually the strife was between their herdmen. It was Abram's idea to separate. The separation seems to have been cordial. Lot agreed with the proposed peaceful solution. There was nothing wrong with choosing a well watered plain - that, in itself, was a good business choice. The text...

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

Maybe I'm not understanding your question.

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

Unincorporate yourself (Come out of her, my people Rev 18:4), then reincorporate yourself. (where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Matt 18:20)

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

To "say" one is saved means nothing. Anyone with a mouth on the front of their head can do that. But if someone IS saved, they're saved for eternity whether they give in to worldly lusts or not.

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

Of course they can. That's why the NT is full of admonitions not to.

Are you of the World? Maybe a little?

"the love of the Father is not in him" doesn't mean "not saved". This passage is an admonition to saved and eternally secure people.

How to love your family, when God hates the nonelects?

Wrong. Faith in Christ comes by hearing the word of God, and it's available to everyone.

How to love your family, when God hates the nonelects?

Faith in Christ comes by hearing the word of God, and it's available to everyone. No you don't.

How to love your family, when God hates the nonelects?

That's a bunch of antibiblical nonsense.

How to love your family, when God hates the nonelects?

That's false. Belief is belief, faith is faith. Everyone has faith; it's part of our make-up. One guy put his faith in a chair that ended up collapsing under his weight. Another guy put his faith in Jesus as his Savior for eternity. They were the exact same faith. Only the objects of...

How to love your family, when God hates the nonelects?

And whom will He have mercy on? For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. Romans 11:32 (KJV)

Did Cain marry his sister after being kicked out?

And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Gen 3:20 (KJV) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12 (KJV) And hath made of one blood all nations of men for...
