Oh yeah I remember hearing that if a woman makes sauerkraut while she's on her monthly then it would turn black lol. I thought it might just be an old wives tale.

Funny! Was it about two girls, Molly and Cynthia? I listened to an audiobook (or most of it) of Wives and Daughters and enjoyed it a lot. If the show is an adaptation of the book they must've changed some details cuz I don't remember anything about Egypt or Africa.

Wow that would've been terrible. I'm so glad you got some more. We've often canned meat instead of freezing it, then it doesn't get hurt if the power goes out. But some cuts are better frozen.

I completely understand and have been there too. I actually don't have a smartphone, and won't have the desktop when we move in a couple months. I'm looking forward to being more unplugged. If you seek God about it I know He'll show you what to do.
