Is the law of Moses set aside?

Did I say anything about Christ there? No.

Is the law of Moses set aside?

Agreed. However, God gave the Law to Israel, not to the Gentiles. That is clearly established in Scripture. Exodus 19:3-6 Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob and what you are to tell the...

Is the law of Moses set aside?

And much of it was for Israel specifically, not for anyone else.

Is the law of Moses set aside?

Christians are not required to obey the law given through Moses. Trying is a waste of time. You either try to maintain your own righteousness through obedience to to law, or you trust in Christ Who fulfilled it perfectly. There is no middle road.

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

We can agree to disagree, but I think that's a cop-out. I would encourage you to read God's entire discourse in the latter part of Genesis 3. Does any of it sound like "commands" or does it sound like "consequences"?

    Ball Earth conundrums

Here is your post #73: "If it is true that the northern hemisphere is hotter than the southern hemisphere when the north pole is pointed toward the sun (northern summer; north gets more sun than south) - and, the southern hemisphere is hotter than the northern hemisphere when the south pole is...

    Ball Earth conundrums

At any particular moment, one may only see what is illuminated, but that doesn't limit the observer from determining an item's shape from a combination of observations from many such moments. Dude, you're in the dark. On observer on the moon does not need light from the moon to see the earth...

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

Here we agree. Consider though how common the abuse of wives is under all non-Christian cultures (including Western secular culture), and you may begin to see that my interpretation of Genesis 3:16b is sound.

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

Lemme guess, that’s your passive-aggressive attempt at insulting me? Lady, you’re so far off base that you’re playing in the next county.

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

With regard to the article, it is misleading in this part: "Even before sin entered the world, there was still the principle of the headship of the husband (1 Timothy 2:13). Adam was created first, and Eve was created to be a "helper" for Adam (Genesis 2:18–20)." 1 Timothy 2:13 does not...

Yes, I do understand that. Does the blue pill have a particular flavour? And you're bringing this up because...?

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

You have a dim view of women, and a distorted view of men. Only someone who doesn't understand equality makes such a claim. You are completely overlooking the context of consequences. God told Eve and then Adam what the consequences of their sin would be. He told Adam that he would obtain his...

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

Submission is not mentioned in Genesis 3:16 at all, so there is no point in discussing it. That might make sense if God said to the man, "You shall rule over your wife". However, He did not say that. The only time God says to person A that person B will rule over them is when it is a bad thing...

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

Here is your earlier claim: "5. Husbands would have authority over wives, and wives would need to submit to their own husband. " Here is what God says in Genesis 3:16: "Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.” God said nothing about giving authority to men or...

Did Adam and Eve eat an apple?

I'll leave you to your eisegesis. I think you're happier adding to Scripture than accepting it at face value.

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

That isn't what it says, but it's a common misinterpretation. It says, in the context of consequences for sin, that he will rule over 'you'. If you conclude that is a command, or a statement about God-given authority, then you must also believe that... - men are only obeying God when they are...

The Need For A Church Council

Psst… the word is “tenets”. Otherwise I agree with you. Very well stated! :)

Did Adam and Eve eat an apple?

Nor is there anything to prove that he was. You made the claim; you are obligated to support it. Without evidence, your claim is empty, and there is no evidence in the text.

Genesis 3:16 Bible Old Testament. Surah 4:34 (Quran)

This is a statement of consequence, not a command.
