Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

"Thrown the Bible under the bus"? Whatever! I have demonstrated that the KJV is not without error, and thereby refuted your position. That you can't accept the presence of error in the KJV is your delusional problem. Don't worry, you have plenty of company on this board.

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

    Sidestepping again.

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

While I agree with you on this point, it is not enough to warrant choosing a translation that is otherwise written in 400-year-old language. ;)

    How can one learn?

    We do not! ;)

No, the earth is not flat.

I sure wish people would stop assuming this is an Americans-only forum. The rest of the world doesn’t relate to your narrow political views and certainly doesn’t care to have them imposed upon every discussion.

God's 'Transition' For law To Grace

Interesting choice of a loaded word for a thread title... but that aside.... If you pay attention when reading the Old Testament, you will see that God accepted people by faith without reference to the Law. Yes, He imposed the Law on Israel, but that was for a specific purpose: to prepare for...

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

Nah... just trying to spare people from swallowing the camel of KJV-onlyism. ;)

No, the earth is not flat.

You haven't been to Hawaii, have you?

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

I want you do admit that the contradiction probably would not be there if God were as involved in the development of the KJV as you seem to believe.

No, the earth is not flat.

Both are related to plate tectonics, and I agree: it's irrelevant to the thread, though I can't see how one can make sense of plate tectonics or mountains or folded layers of rock or the flood on a flat earth.

    You’re sidestepping.

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

Look again. Both are in the KJV.

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

Huh? Where have you been? I already demonstrated the existence of error.
  15. Dino246

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

Irrelevant. They cannot both be correct, therefore one of them is incorrect, therefore the KJV has an error.

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

I’m well aware of the issues, but thanks. I point out the facts simply to demonstrate that the KJV contains a clear contradiction; an error. The origin of the error is irrelevant to the point. That it is still present belies the idea that God were as involved in the development of the KJV as the...

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

2 Kings 8:26 Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel. 2 Chronicles 22:2 Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in...

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

With respect, faith is for things we can't see, like the certainty of our resurrection. We can see that the word of God is true, by reason of fulfilled prophecy, internal consistency, scientific facts unknowable when they were written, and many other reasons. :)

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

Thanks for pointing that out. Given that the KJV is known to have errors, it is excluded from consideration.

No, the earth is not flat.

An illustration that is irrelevant to the point is useless for explaining the point. Cognitive dissonance is also irrelevant here. Moses provided an illustration in a vain attempt to refute my point. Clearly he didn’t understand my point because his illustration was completely irrelevant and...
