    The Amusement Park

God, in his infinite mercy granted you vision at thirty. What a great opportunity. Many of us were blind into our later years and but wish we could have seen sooner. Speak the truth to all that have ears.

    Leviticus Question

Blade, I finished the chapters you recommended. They also lead me to relevant sections of Kings and Chronicles. Going back to my original question, I am finding it increasingly difficult to believe the community escapes consequences when it ignores Gods commands. Further, sacrificing to...

    Leviticus Question

I acknowledge that I may have misread the scripture, that's why I asked. I can see how it can be read either way. But I also must note that OT history is full of examples of God bringing destruction on kings and kingdoms who turn from his ways. (Solomon, Manasseh, Amom Ahaz, Judah, Benjamin...

    Leviticus Question

I read this passage in light of the OT history of Kings and Kingdoms and God's response when they ignore God's laws. I am forgiven of my sin's by the blood of Christ Jesus but does this free us as a society from either the law or the consequences?

    Leviticus Question

In Leviticus 20: 1-5 God establishes a punishment that is to be delivered for a sin. He then goes further and states that He will turn his back upon anyone who fails to carry out that punishment. I am no Bible scholar but can find no other instance in Leviticus where He takes his commands to...

    Topheth

Ancient Israel, in a valley steep and hot, Promises of ease and comfort were pursued, On a bastard altar of man’s own hand, While drumbeats hid the anguished cries. In Topheth are found molded earthen jars, Buried in Ben-Hinnom’s filth, Attesting that olden greed with pleas, Bodies of burned...

    The Gun Thread

I load the 55 grain ballistic point and stoke it up quite a bit. (I tried Soft-points but they could not handle the velocity). They penetrate 3/4" of steel where the heavier and slower 7.62X39 will not. The loads I use have a 2" drop at 200 yards.

    The Gun Thread

I have a Savage 110, .223 cal, heavy fluted barrel with laminated stock. I added a variable 48X scope, a bipod and a bench follower to make it single shot. Out of the box it will consistently hit a dime at 200 yards. Great gun.

Hello, I'm a "newby" here and still learning my way around.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I study my bible "almost" every day and read both current and classic Christian works. (Trying not to allow my study and inquiry to create an academic relationship with Jesus has been a challenge). While it feels like I have been seeking God since...

Hello, I'm a "newby" here and still learning my way around.

Please excuse my errors. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior many years ago but still have much to learn. My biggest issues right now are with the church which appears to be ungodly and largely irrelevant. Lately I have been reading and studying on my own, sometimes I just don't have the...
