Was the Pharaoh of Exodus predestined for damnation?

I try never to second guess God. Despite what some say, we do not know what is in a mans heart at the moment of death. Some very cruel things have been said by people who assure they speak for God.

Marks of Discipleship / AW Tozer

I do not believe you can ever learn the truth by asking someone for theirs. Tozer's book "The Pursuit of Holiness" is short, too the point, and can even be read for free here: http://www.thepursuitofgod.net/preface.html Read it, then decide. It's the only way to escape the hog-wash!

Thank you for posting these words of wisdom. I am a big fan of A.W. and have read much of his writings, they are always encouraging. (And ignore all the garbage)!

    Hunting and fishing

This has been a great thread to read. I hunted as a child and we always ate what we shot. We also followed biblical instructions about handling the blood of the game we took. Fishing has been a life-long passion and again, we did not fish for animals we did not eat. Lev. 17:13 “‘Any...

    Not a christian

Your question is hard to answer with a "yes" or a "no". Baptism is about where you are and your willingness to accept. It's not about church or about you being perfect; you aren't. Baptism is of the spirit, it's about YOUR acceptance and acknowledgement of Yeshua as lord. It is the...

    Not a christian

My friend you posted on this site. That alone proves that you are not too far gone and that you are already on the path to redemption. Yeshua meets us where we are when we let him. You too are seeking, he gave that hope to both of us. Now when he speaks additional things to you trust and...

    NewUser but old guy

I think we may need a "Liars Club" here. Were you ever a member? Eight or ten old retired men would gather every morning at McD's or at the mall, drink coffee and tell stories. The first story ALWAYS got topped by several more of dubious factuality. (I don't go to either place anymore so I...

would it have been better if

You speak truth, we are being changed into the people God seeks, hopefully me too! But I also note the deep reverence you have for the objects of your profession. It reminds me of the reverence YHWH for his living creatures, even going so far as to enter into a covenant relationship with...

would it have been better if

I don' know about others, but I refuse to accept a pessimistic view of either mankind or God. Walk through a grocery store and watch young mothers with their children. Watch men going to work trying to build something for future generations. Watch police officers going down dark alleys...

    The trial of sorrows

Sometimes we may have to "...fake it 'till we make it." You are right, God knows. He can see when we try to smile through the tears.

    Remenissing About Days of Yore

When I was a youngster we would sneak away to the 'ol swimming hole. On the walk back home we would be hungry and would eat raw field corn. I was actually pretty good when it is young, but I learned the hard way not to eat more than one small ear!
