Do you believe in (OSAS) Once Saved, Always Saved?

I sorry to tell that scripture does not indicate that nor has that ever been a centralized tenet of the faith. You’re taking about hypocrisy. We are all hypocrites in one form or another. Are you saying you don’t sin?

    The sin of refusing sex

Unfortunately that can occur and does. Of course it’s not applicable to every married couple, but enough to cause a marriages to dissolve. Again, sex is a very powerful blessing God has given and when applied in the the way it was intended to be, it really manifests into a unity(One flesh). When...

Do you believe in (OSAS) Once Saved, Always Saved?

You stated that no one is saved until the resurrection which is absolutely untrue. Since you made the statement, I’m just asking what do you do to ensure you’re in Gods good grace until said time?

Do you believe in (OSAS) Once Saved, Always Saved?

Of course it’s impossible. My point being is what do you do to keep yourself from falling into utter dispair if you believe you’re not guaranteed in the present age?

Do you believe in (OSAS) Once Saved, Always Saved?

Yes, I have read 1 John and understand the construct of that particular passage. He was speaking of sins committed by a believer in which physical death is was not immediately dispensed. There is a sin the does, but he didn’t elaborate on it specifically. Eventually we all die physically, as...

Do you believe in (OSAS) Once Saved, Always Saved?

I do know that in Catholicism there is venial and mortal. We know that all sin leads to death without intervention. You lie once, you’re condemned. What I would like know is how many times can a person lose their salvation and then gain it back?

Do you believe in (OSAS) Once Saved, Always Saved?

So, would it be possible that an individual weaves in and out of Gods salvation based on any transgression committed and the amount of repentance they have? I mean we sin almost daily whether through actions or thoughts.

    To all the saints here.

Good journey brother. Walk in the light as He is in the light that we may have fellowship with one another

Peace, forgiveness, moving forward and finding love.

I think it’s in part because we have expectations that are predicated on trust. When those expectations fall short, we are hurt. Slowly I have come trust fully in the one that always knew me, and has never let me down even when I was unaware of it or even understanding.

Guys and Gals here is some truth

I know. So, the church you have been attending is causes some concerns? I’m content with one the I have been going to for a few years now. I actually feel like I have a kinship with a few of the members.

Guys and Gals here is some truth

No, there is nothing wrong with using updated translations. Are there some that should be completely avoided. The Passion comes to mind, but the ESV, NIV, American standard are adequate.

    Probably Not Going to Heaven

I don’t think anyone would be ok with notion of eternal if they really knew what it was. Common grace falls on all of us. You still have the ability to find comfort from emotional and even physical torments. All of that is gone for the damned once judged. God’s wrath is continuously poured out...

    Probably Not Going to Heaven

We see fairness from a finite perspective. If we really wanted God to be fair, we would all have to endure His justice, which is enteral punishment. Grace from that shows His true love for mercy and not actual fairness.

    Probably Not Going to Heaven

The Prophet Jonah was so angry that he literally wanted to die. He was angry at God, the enemies of Israel, and probably himself. God didn’t give him what he wanted, and he was scorned because if that. God doesn’t give us want, but what we need, and it can be very painful. Is God only worthy...

    What’s Behind America’s Shocking Baby-Formula Shortage?

Yep. Thanks Tucker. I just watched that. Same thing happens with medical insurers (Kaiser) and Medicaid.

    Confusion over the "sign" gifts?

With the prophets and apostles, they had an extremely difficult existence. Hated, dishonored, beaten, lonely, and many endured horrible deaths. I find it interesting so many today can claim to have the same abilities, but lack the laden continuity of such a calling.
